Tell Me Something

Tell me something,
Are you happy in this world?
In a world where kindness is now forgotten,
In a world where meaningless wars never cease.
Are you happy?
Or are you ashamed to be part of such a cruel place?
I am more ashamed than happy.
Innocent lives are taken away,
By extremists who think they are right.
When will humans be humans?
When will we learn to set aside our differences,
And embrace each other?
When will we feel safe in our own homes,
Or the streets we walk in?

Tell me something,
Are you really happy?
Do you feel safe?
Even though this world is staining in black,
It's pureness fading away?
Even though this world is turning into a ball full of sin?
No one is safe anymore,
Neither are you or your neighbor.
No one is worthy enough to trust,
Because you will never know,
When you will wake up with a bullet in your head.
