SOME GOOD SONGS TO LISTEN TO WHILE READING THIS CHAPTER ARE

LIES BY MARINA AND THE DIAMONDS

ALMOST IS NEVER ENOUGH BY ARIANA GRANDE AND NATHAN SYKES

WRAPPED AROUND YOUR FINGER BY 5SOS

BESIDE YOU BY 5SOS (best one I think)

My mind was racing. I can't believe I just forgot about Cody? He has helped me so far and I just LEAVE him? What kind of friend am I? I was sitting on a chair and Luke was in the other room. His three friends were out and thank God I didn't have to deal with them. Before I could think, I shrieked,

"LUUUUUUKE!" He came running out in sweat pants and a sweater.

"What? What's wrong? What happened?" He stuttered. I was standing up and gripping the ends of the chair.

"We need to go back to Harry's to get Cody!"

"Who's Cody?"

"THE PERSON THAT SAVED MY LIFE NOW LETS GO!" Dragging Luke out by his wrist I forced him into his car and screamed at him to step on it. When we arrived at Harry's I basically flew out of the car before it even stopped. Running to the winow I climbed out of before, I cracked it open and crawed in, noticing that the door was still locked.

Hm.

Harry must not care that much about me.

Tip toeing through the room and quietly unlocking the door, I creaked it open, to find Cody laying on the floor.

Dead.

Screaming, I ran over to his blood-pooled lifeless body and held his head in my hands. Shaking, crying and screaming I could heard Luke fall into the window. Shakily touching my warm hands onto Cody's, I screamed at myself. Why didn't I take him with me? Why was I so selfish? Getting up and punching the wall, I dented it pretty bad. Tugging my hair and screaming, I didn't know what to do. The boy who saved my life was gone. Why couldn't I have saved his life? Why did I have to be so damn selfish? Luke was now in the living room, gaping at the body on the floor.

"HE'S GONE! THAT SON OF A BITCH KILLED CODY!" I shrieked, my voice hoarse. I was emotionally breaking down and I didn't know how much more negativity in my life I could handle. Luke ran over and enveloped me in a hug. I fell into his arms and cried into his sweater.

"It's all my fault." I sobbed.

"N-No, Hadley. L-Look." I parted from the embrace and looked to where Lule was pointing. To a note on the chair. My feet felt like cement as I lugged myself over to the chair, and picked up the note. Not even wanting to read it, I gave it to Luke, who read it aloud.

"Hadley, you found lover boy, hey? Well guess what, he's dead now. I killed him. Little lover boy didn't answer me. Where did you run off to, huh? Well guess what, I'll find you. And I'll keep you. Forever, and ever, and ever. I love you Hadley, more than you'll ever know. And to the day I die I will prove you wrong, that you love me, too. I know you love me, Hadley. That's why I killed lover boy. I couldn't let him get in between us. I can't let ANYONE get in between us. Anyone you talk to, I will kill. I promise, honey. We'll get married and live happily ever after. See you later, baby. Oh, and don't think about running. Cause I'll find you. I promise." Luke's face showed horror and terror. He knew that if Harry found out I was hanging out with Luke, Harry would kill him. No exceptions. I was bawling my eyes out after Luke finished reading. I snatched the paper from Luke's large hands and ripped it up and threw it all over the room, scattering the once clean apartment with flecks of paper. Harry would be happy when he got home. Glancing at Luke, I sniffed and said in a soft crackly whisper,

"I think we should go." Luke just faintly nodded and helped me out of the door. At this moment I felt so guilty and not worth living. Because I was so selfish and bitchy, I let Cody die. How could I do this? I was a monster. Speaking of monsters, that made me think of Harry. He was absolutely crazy. How can he still be running around? Why isn't he in prison? He should be locked up for the rest of his life! Still continue to sob as I climbed into Luke's car, I kept thinking it was all my fault. Just as Luke got into his car, I could see a figure standing about ten feet from the back of the car.

Harry.

I screamed at Luke to go, and he slammed on the gas, speeding down the back lane and spinning down a street.

"LUKE THAT WAS HARRY OH MY GOD HE'S GOING TO KILL YOU TOO!" I cried, and as I looked over to Luke, I saw a tear slip down his perfect cheek.

"No. He's not going to do that. I will not let him do that. He didn't see you, did he?" Luke rushed. I shook my head.

"I don't think so. But he saw you." I glanced at Luke with blurry eyesight and saw him bite his pierced lip.

"You have to stay low, Hads. You can't go out much. Harry could be anywhere. He's probably asking people if they've seen you. Harry's a sneaky lad, Hadley." Luke's voice cracked and I just closed my eyes and let tears fall out of my closed eyelids. I could feel my eyes getting puffy, but this wouldn't be the first time. I've cried so many times in the past year. I just wanted my normal life back. But, unfortunately, I knew that would never happen. I had no clue where Nick or Zach are, and I'm not going back to them. I'd rather stay with Luke then go with either of my Dad's. As Luke turned into his parking lot, I saw three tall, loud guys standing by Luke's parking spot.

Uh Oh.

"That's just Calum Ashton and Michael. You'll love 'em." Luke faked a smile as he crawled out of his car to hug his friends, and to introduce me.

"Guys, this is Hadley. I'll explain the details later." Luke's mouth turned up into a smile but then quickly faded.

"Hi Hadley! I'm Ashton!" Ashton giggled the most beautiful giggle I've ever heard.

"HI HADLEEEEEEY!" The boy with the dyed hair shrieked into my ear. I flinched and stepped back, kind of scared of the boy.

"Michael stop! You're scaring her!" Ashton laughed again. The shy one at the back, I assume, Calum, just faintly waved and flashed a pearly smile, which I returned.

"So Hadley, why don't you come upstairs, we'll get some food." Luke gingerly grabbed my hand, then Michael screamed behind me,

"PIZZA LUKE?"

"No, Michael."

"Shut up, Luke."

"You shut up, Michael."

"Ashton, Luke's being mean." Michael pouted, and I couldn't help but laugh. These lads were quite entertaining, and I think I would fit right in.
