1) My "Friend" Will

AU: Nico introduces Will as his friend to the new camper, and Will gets upset.

"Go! Introduce us!" My boyfriend, Will Solace, said as he pushed me towards the new camper. She had just arrived tonight. She wasn't claimed yet, but she seemed to be getting along with the other campers well.

"Why?" I complained. "She seems happy right there. She doesn't want to meet us."

Will rolled his eyes and pushed me closer to her. "It's common courtesy, Nico. Just say hello, and we never have to talk to her again."

I huffed, but forced a smile anyway. "Hi, I'm Nico, and this is my friend Will."

Will shot me a confused look. I knew why, but I wasn't going to say anything about it.

"Nice to meet you guys." She replied. "I'm Luna."

"Hey Luna. Would you actually excuse us for a few minutes?" Will said. "I need to talk to Nico."

I didn't say anything. I just let him drag me into the Hades cabin. The only place in this camp where we can get any fucking privacy.

"What the Hades, Nico?" Will said as soon as we got in."

I didn't say anything. I just sat on my bed, staring at the floor, while he stood in front of me with his arms crossed.

"Oh, don't play dumb. You know what you did." He announced.

I just shrugged and finally looked up at him. "Is this because I introduced you as my friend instead of my boyfriend?"

"Yeah!" Will said. "Also, yesterday I tried to grab your hand, and you elbowed me. Everyone knows we're together. I still can't even touch your shoulder in public, but behind closed doors you can't keep your hands off of me!"

I scrunched my eyebrows. "Why are you making such a big deal about it? It doesn't matter."

He grabbed my shoulders. "Yes it does, Nico. I want to know what's up. It's kind of my job as your boyfriend."

He sat down beside me, so we were both facing each other with our legs crossed.

He put a hand on my knee. "Did you just forget or something? Are you not..." his voice breaks. "happy with me?"

My heart shattered. I didn't want him to think that. Ever. "Don't say that, Will. Don't even think it. Okay? You make me so, so happy."

He gave me a crooked smile. "Okay." There was a pause. "That still doesn't tell me why you did it."

I sighed. I hated getting emotional in front of people. I fucking hated it. I knew it was bound to happen if I started talking, but I started anyway.

"People judge around here." I started but before I could finish, Will laughed in my face.

"What! That's what you're worried about? People judging?" He asked, still chuckling.

I was starting to get angry. "Well, yeah. Don't laugh about it. It's not funny."

His face went serious immediately. "You're right. I'm sorry. It's just that, people aren't going to judge you for being gay. We're all half Gods! The dude who runs this camp is a centaur. He has fucking horse legs, and you're worried about liking the same gender?"

I rolled my eyes. "Have you forgotten how horrible it was to be gay when I was a kid? It was the 40's! The only things I heard about homosexuality were how sinful it was. Old habits die hard, I guess."

His expression softened. "Hey, I'm sorry, Nico. I forgot. It's just that, everyone else at this camp knows, why hide it all of a sudden?"

"I'm not hiding it. I just... get weird feelings about it sometimes. It has nothing to do with you, I can promise that. I'm still getting used to it. I know it's been 3 months, but you've got to understand that it's hard for me sometimes."

"Of course." He smiled and kissed me softly. "We should get back outside. Dinner is going to be over soon!"

~~~ POV switch ~~~

We stepped outside, and to our surprise, the dining pavilion was empty and dark.

"Oh shit..." Nico mumbled quietly.

We silently backtracked towards Cabin 13, and sat back down on Nico's bed.

"Well, what do we do now?" He asked me, and I replied with a shrug.

We ended up hanging out there until camp fire, where he put his hand on mine, making my heart light up. He told me he wanted me to know how much I mattered to him.

After camp fire, it was pretty late. I was about to head back to the Apollo cabin, when he grabbed my arm.

"Wait," He said. "Come and stay with me."

I smiled at the gesture. "I can't. Everyone will see me walk to your cabin, and I'll get in trouble."

"Then walk back to your cabin. He stood on his toes and whispered in my ear: "Meet me in 10."

Surely, I walked back to my cabin, and waited until everyone was in their own. Then I sneaked behind the cabins to number 13, through a secret passage I found where no one would catch me.

"Hey, baby boy." I said as I strolled into his cabin. He was lying in his bed in his boxer shorts. That's what he always wore to sleep. He blushed at the pet name. We didn't usually use them.

"You're wearing jeans you big dummy." He pointed out.

"So?"

"So, you'll be uncomfortable."

"Touché."

I changed into one of Nico's oversized Metallica shirts, and took off my jeans so I was just wearing boxers.

It was late and we were both tired. We half spooned, Nico with this head on my chest, while I wrapped an arm around him and stroked his hair, our legs intertwined.

This was my favourite way cuddle with him. I just felt safe holding him, knowing (hoping) he was having a nice peaceful sleep.

"Don't fall asleep okay?" He told me. "I don't want you to get in trouble walking out of my cabin in my clothes tomorrow morning."

"I won't." I assured him. "Goodnight. I love you."

I could feel him smile against my chest. "I love you too."

Just like that, he drifted off to sleep, and against his wishes, I eventually did too.

I just ended up waking up early and taking the secret passage back to my cabin, and nobody noticed. I hope.

I do that most nights when I stay in Nico's cabin. He either thinks that I leave when he falls asleep, or just knows and doesn't care. It doesn't matter I just loving being with him. He makes me happy.

That made me cringe so hard! 😂 Anyway, I hope you enjoyed, and I'll update ASAP. I'm doing smut every other chapter!!
