Lillian stood there at the foot of the bunk bed confused, why did they wake up so early and why did all the other kids look so use to this? She continued to stand there flustered as all the kids (besides Lillian and Justin) started doing housework like mopping the floor, and cleaning the windows. That was fine and all but what Lillian didn't understand was the place was already spotless. So what's the use of cleaning it more?
Lillian collected herself  and walked up to Sydney, about to ask why they were cleaning but Sydney intervened as if she knew what she was going to say. " We're cleaning because that's what we are forced to do everyday, according to Patty's rules and lets just say kids who don't follow her rules, well I'd rather not say." Said Sydney in a matter of fact way.
"Oh... uh okay." Lillian said while swallowing a gulp.
"Now you better get to work before she catches you." Sydney said quickly returning back to cleaning.
So Lillian grabbed a sponge to scrub the floor and her brother grabbed a duster to dust the house. Two days went by with everything being pretty mediocre not necessarily good but not horrible, until today.
