Alpha's Rejected Mate

Chapter Two

"Wait...." He said standing. I felt empty from his touch. "I have to go." He said taking off. I frowned and laid against the tree.

"Amelia!" Alpha Jax yelled coming towards me. I saw a girl behind him. He stopped softening at my face. He said something to her and she walked away. I stood and grabbed my bag. "What's going on? Did someone hurt you?" He asked.

"I need to be getting to class." I said wishing he will let me pass and not use his Alpha voice on me.

"Your more than half an hour late. School is out. Let me take you home." He said and I shook my head. 

"No....I just want to...." I said and couldn't think of anything. I just wanted to get out of here. My mate was Ryan Lee. Why did he run away. I didn't realize I was picked up. I was placed in the front seat of a car. He placed the seat belt on me and closed my door. I curled over and tried to stop crying. He got in and I felt him reach over and moved from his touch.

"Who hurt you?" He asked.

"No one." I replied back wiping my tears. "My parents are gone. This marks the second birthday they missed. They won't get to see who my mate is. It should have been me." I said sitting up.

"Don't say that! You parents protected you and they still love you. They are not forgotten. They are in your heart. Get out the car." He said and I looked over at him. I got out of the car and he followed suit. He grabbed my hand and we ran to the forest. "Lets go for a run." He said and I smiled. I shifted ripping my clothes in the process. I took off and he caught up with me. His big black wolf got ahead of me and my wolf tried to beat him. He suddenly stopped. I ran into the side of him trying to alow down. He looked back at me and did a toothy smile. I rolled my eyes and I looked at the view in front of me. A cliff with water down below. The flowers, and leaves around us. I sighed laying down. Alpha Jax sat next to me and I do have to admit during the mourning I experienced he was there. He was a great Alpha. He lost his sister during that time as well. We mourned together but he made sure I was okay. He was nice in an intimidating way. I looked over at him as his wolf stared at the view in front of us.

'Alpha Jax.' I said in our mindlink.

'Yes pup?' He said after a while looked down at me.

'I'm going to do something you won't like.' I said and he turned his head to the side confused as to what I was talking about. I got up and stretched out. My wolf letting out a sigh loving the feeling of stretching out.

I walked back and he stared at me. I took off running.

'Amelia!' He yelled and I jumped from the cliff. I felt arms wrapped around my wolf's stomach. We went under water. I was pulled up and my wolf met an angry Alpha eyes. "You could have gotten hurt." He said and I got out of his eyes.

'My last day of freedom. Before my mate.' I said and his face softened. I shifted and kept below my shoulders under water.

"Having a mate will be a good thing. They complete you. I'm sure whoever he is will be lucky to have you. You are a beautiful, bright girl." He said. I blushed and thanked him.

"I actually got aquainted with him today. I met him before he left." I said and his face held something.

"He didn't reject you right?" He said.

"No....he just left. I guess he was in shock. I don't want to meet him until tomorrow until I feel a connection." I said and he nodded.

"We should get going." He said and got out of the water. I covered my eyes and heard a chuckle. He grabbed us clothes from a pile. I got out and he threw a towel in my direction with shorts and a tee. I went behind a tree and got dressed. I met him back where we met.

"Ben and Kylie are waiting for us." He said and I nodded. He went back to bring tense and quiet when we got in the car. Once we got to the house Kylie grabbed my arm.

"Lets talk." She said.

"I'm fine. Please just let it go. I feel better a lot better now. Sorry I gave you  fright." I said and she nodded understanding me. I saw Alpha Jax walking away. "Alpha Jax!" I said running to him. He froze and turned towards me. I hugged him. He seemed to relax but only for and minute.

"Thank you for everything. Please don't tell anyone I found my mate yet. I'm not ready yet and I haven't even met him myself." I whispered to him. I let go and he just nodded.

"I have to go." He said and I nodded. I was about to go to my room when I felt my body smack into someone. I felt electricity and my body began to purr. That all ended with the person stepping back away from me.

I was face to face with Ryan Lee. "Hi...." I said and blushed.

"Hello." He said looking down at me. "When is your birthday?"

"Tomorrow. Are you coming to my celebration? It is a very small one but the Alpha might throw a huge one. I don't know yet but I would like you there." I said smiling.

"I will see. We have to talk okay. A serious talk." He said and I looked fearful.

"About what?" I asked.

"I want to talk about it after your special day." He said and I shook my head.

"No it sounds serious. Just rip the bandage off. I'm not a kid. I've been through a lot in life." I said and he sighed.

"Lets go to your room." He said and I nodded. He closed the door behind him. He pulled me to sit down besides him after I tried to straighten up. "It's fine." He said and I nodded. "You've been around the Alpha?" He asked.

"Yes we went diving into the lake. I needed to get away." I said and he nodded. His eyes held jealousy but he pushed it away.

"Okay. I can't be your mate." He said and I was taken back.

"What?" I said standing up.

"You are a very beautiful. I would love to have you as my mate. But I have made my bed and must lay in it. My girlfriend of four years is pregnant with twins. She should deliver soon. We will be leaving very soon since I have found my mate, you. I don't want to hurt you. So I'm leaving to lessen the pain. I will complete the at in process and have my family with him." He said and my heart broke in pieces.

"Please....please don't do this." I begged him and he pushed me off gently. "Ryan we can make this work. I can be your mate and I won't be hurt when you see your kids they can be our family."

"I can't do that to you Amelia. That will hurt you and you know it. To know that your mate had someone else's pups. I'm hurting you now. I'm so sorry. It hurts my heart I have to do this. I Ryan Lee reject you Amelia Hanes as my mate." He said and I crashed to the ground sobbing. "Now please accept. Please Amelia. I wanted to do this later....please."

"Will it make you happy?" I asked, and he nodded. "I....Amelia Hanes accept your rejection." I said and he picked me up and placed me in my bed. He hugged me than placed a kiss on my cheek. Whispering another sorry and goodbye and just like that he was gone.
