How can we all be so cruel to one another.
Every f*cking religion supports peace and love,
But we somehow ignore our beliefs and drag
One another under busses of steel and shame.
We talk about how God loves us all, with equality
Yet the next day we go to war and destroy prosperity.
If there was no war, would there be no hate?
If there was no hate, would everything carry love and joy?
If that ws true, maybe we would have a surplus in population,
And maybe we would have more saints and love and caring.
I once went to Deep Chicago on a weekend,
Saw a guy chained to a car and dragged through the streets
Just for having the tatoo of a crucifix on his back.
He was bloody and mauled, and the car was racing on the asphalt
At what must have been an easy 100 MPH, with no consideration
Of how the man in the back was doing; he didn't look back at all!
At the end of the day, we have someone up there in Heaven,
And we pray for love and generosity and more good will.
Yet we would turn on our brothers and sisters like rabid dogs!
Where the Hell is the love, y'all.
Where the Hell is the love.
Where is the love.
The love.
The Love.
The Love
