So there you were, standing by the refreshments table and sipping your choice of beverage, when a young boy approaches you. He bows. "Good evening, your majesty~" He extends his arm slightly, offering you his hand. "May I have this dance?" You agree, putting down your glass, and take his hand.
After taking your place, his right hand finds its way to your waist and your left hand finds his. His hand holds yours out to the side while keeping eye contact the whole time. And then, you two begin to dance.
"One, step back. Two, left. Three, forward. Four, right."
"And dip, two, three, together."
"Three, forward. Four, right twirl"
You two moved gracefully across the room to the classical music playing in the background. You knew the dance sequences by heart as you've done them for as long as you could remember.
This dance went on for a good ten minutes, small talk between the two of you happening throughout.
Seeming satisfied, he releases you from his hold. He holds your hand up to his lips, eyes falling closed, and he kisses the back of it, letting the feeling linger before pulling back. He opens his eyes and meets your own again, greeting you with a smile. "Thank you~".
