"Entering the final minute of play." The announcer said and you could feel your heartrate begin to pick up.

The Penguins were up by two and the Sharks had pulled their goalie. The Penguins were going to win the Stanley Cup again, just eight years since their 2009 Stanley Cup victory.

You had been on the edge of your seat the whole game. You knew going into this game that, if the Penguins won, they would win the Stanley Cup. Your heart was pounding when the game was tied and you had screamed so loudly when Letang scored the tie breaking goal, bringing the Penguins up by one.

But, there was still a period left, a lot of time for the Sharks to tie and win the game. Luckily, that didn't happen. Instead, the Sharks pulled their goalie, allowing for Horny to score an empty net goal with just over a minute left in the game.

The Penguins were going to win the Stanley Cup. You could feel it.

With nothing to lose and the extra attacker, the Sharks were throwing everything they had at the Penguins and your boyfriend, Marc-André. But, it wasn't enough. The seconds ran out and you could have sworn you never had a bigger smile than you did at that moment.

You watched as the Penguins swarmed your boyfriend and piled onto each other in celebration. The Sharks looked completely defeated, but you didn't care. All that mattered was that the Penguins had won the Cup. That Marc-André had won the Cup.

Still high on adrenalin, the Penguins led by Sidney lined up to shake the hands of the Sharks. And then you watched as the carpet was laid out and the Stanley Cup was brought out. You watched as the Cup was presented to the Penguins and Sidney hoisted it with a big smile.

You watched as the Cup was passed to the other players. As Marc-André took the Cup and raised it above his head before passing it to Murray.

In that moment, Marc-André had everything he wanted. Well, almost everything.

Marc-André had achieved his childhood dream of playing professional hockey, and now he was raising the Stanley Cup for the second time in his career. His name would be engraved onto the Cup for the second time.

And he had you.

You and him had been together for almost five years. You were there with him through all the hard times and all the good times. You were there with him and loved you more than he had the words to tell you.

He couldn't imagine not having you in his life.

So, when you stepped on the ice with all the other family members after having ran from your seat down the familiar halls of the PPG Paint Arena down towards the ice, the words just slipped out of his mouth.

Marc-André skated over to you with a big smile on his face. He wanted to pick you up, but it would be so difficult with all the goalie equipment on, so he had to settle with cupping your cheeks and kissing your deeply. As soon as he pulled back from the kiss, the words slipped from his lips, and he meant them with every ounce of his being.

"Épouse-Moi."

You pulled back in surprise. "What?"

Marc-André gave you a gentle smile keeping his hands on your cheeks. "Marry me. I never want to be without you. I want to be by your side for the rest of my life. I love you and I'll never stop loving you, so marry me." He said, brushing his thumbs across your cheek bones. "Épouse-Moi."

"Yes." You breathed without hesitation and Marc-André smiled before pressing his lips to yours again, this time softer.

He pulled back from the kiss and opened his mouth to say something, but Letang clapped him on the shoulder, cutting him off. You gave Marc-André a soft smile.

"Go." You whispered to him and he nodded, letting go of your waist to go be with the team.

In that moment, he had everything he could ever want.
