"Em—."

"Get out."

"Take your God damn chicken and leave." She muttered, fighting the urge to weep in front of him.

She surveyed the boy as he made his swift departure, knowing he owned no faults in this bicker. It wasn't his fault that he didn't know.

No one knew.

And that's the way she was going to keep it.

━━━━━━━ ☆ ━━━━━━━

Emily enjoyed car journeys.

The ones where she found herself solemn, the only company being the gentle hum of the engine and the melodies spilling from the stereo. It gave her time to dissect her thoughts.

Driving across the scare road, she thought about Jungkook.

She thought about Sofia.

She thought about the curse.

Soon reminding herself that she would have to inform Nathaniel about everything that happened while he was gone, only wanting to bash her own head into the steering wheel as she could already see the outline of the painful script that scene would follow.

Her phone became animated with sound and light, pulling her attention towards it for a moment as it continued to send seismic waves through the seat.

She brought the car to rest on the side of the road. Picking up the phone and placing it to her ear as Jimin's name blurred in the light.

"Jimin?" She puzzled.

"Emily! Where are you?" Jimin replied, the words flooding swiftly through the phone as she found herself concentrating more on the muffled clatters and cries crackling in the background. "I told you I was picking up my brother from the airport. I'm not that far away now." She replied.

"How long are you going to be?" He continued to interrogate, only to further erode Emily's face into one of confusion.

"I'll be less time if you stop talking to me." She sighed as her eyes scanned over the sapphire time in the car. "What is it anyway? What's going on?" Asked Emily.

"I-it's Jungkook. He came in looking for you to apologise and when I said you weren't here, he started to lose it. He keeps on taunting Hoseok and I and if he's not doing that, he starts to break things." He explained, the desperation leaking from his voice. "I'm pretty sure he's going to try and break me."

Emily knew this scenario all too well. It was Jungkook's time.

She should have predicted it would have happened to one of them sooner or later. She knew September was in the midst of its concluding scenes.

The time where the curse truly became a true ordeal.

"Okay, Jimin. Listen to me." She initiated, only receiving silence from the boy. "Put him in the basement and chain him to the wall. Once that's done, leave him. All he's going to do is just taunt you and Hoseok and I don't want you two losing it too." She dictated.

"Why the hell do you have chains in your basement?" He asked, the expectations in his mind already being sensed by the girl. "Get your mind out of the gutter and just do as I say. I'll be back as soon as I can." Her concluding words ran out before she hung up.

A crash.

Thrown to the side by an almost mutant version of inertia, an ache already shooting through her neck.

The car had been crashed into.

Haltingly, she brought herself out of the car, trying to neglect the shooting pain engulfing her neck as she looked around. She found the car's right side cursed with a concave-like dent, leading onto her meeting the scorched trail of what she soon registered as a motorbike.

A pool of steam fled the ebon motorbike which found itself lacking a motorcyclist. As she studied the bike, she suddenly found herself the identity of the rider.

KTH

What she could only presume was spray painted onto the dusk landscape, she realised the bike belonged to the infamous greaser of Greenville High School.

Kim Taehyung.

A discomforted cry echoed from the forest that sketched the landscape of the road, securing Emily's attention. "T-Taehyung?" She hesitated as she dared herself to edge closer to the composition seethes and laboured cries.

Hearing the initial autumn leaves crumble under her feet, his body soon came into view. Carmine blood painted on his leather wrapped body as accents, his head descending as a wave of pain slithered through him.

"Taehyung!" She exclaimed, soon finding herself settled by his side as she examined him. "You need to stop moving. That's only going to ma—."

She paused.

Finding her speech interrupted by a crack of bones.

Her eyes capturing his eyes.

The ones that burned with vermilion.

He was cursed too.
