Percy's POV
"Percy! Baby! Are you okay?" My girlfriend, Drew, asks rushing over to help me off the floor, " I saw what that monster did to you!"

"I'm fine," I say looking for that girl over the heads of everyone else.

"Look at me Perce! I'm your girlfriend!" Drew says in a sickening sweet voice that always makes me hate her.

Yeah, yeah. I know, I know. Why are you dating her if you hate her. Well the answer to that is simple... I have absolutely no clue. Drew wears so much makeup, short skirts and way to tight t-shirts. She is hot but not my style. I just dating Drew so she won't spread rumors about me or my friends I guess...

I want to date someone who is smart, but not cocky. Someone who wears comfy clothes and their hair done lazy. Someone who is beautiful without trying and a good person. Drew was neither. She is okay after 10 pounds of makeup, but Drew has always been a jerk.

Drew pulls me out of my thoughts and kisses me forcefully. It wasn't passionate or full of love, it was more like saying 'Hey everyone! We're dating! And kissing! You wish you were me!' Well I wish I was anyone not kissing Drew by the lockers.

Annabeth's POV
I check my schedule and see that I have math with Mrs. Dodds next. Great. Now where is that?

I show up to class right as the bell rings. No one noticed me but one girl with choppy brown hair and braids. She smiles at me and I walk over to her.

"Is this seat open?" I ask the girl.

"Oh, yeah. My name is Piper," the girl tells me. I sit next to the girl, Piper.

"Thanks, I'm Annabeth," I say once I sat down. The teacher wasn't here yet so I had to make annoying small talk.

"So, Annabeth did you just move here?" Piper asks I nod my head. "Okay you don't like to talk much, do you? What are your hobbies?"

"I like reading and architecture. I've always wanted to be an architect because that's what my mom did." I don't know why I answered but it was like something told me that I should. Plus this girl, Piper, seems nice.

Another girl walked in and Piper waved her over. This girl's brown poofy hair that is probably more poofy than mine if that is possible. She was pretty too.

"Annabeth, this is Hazel. She likes to draw. And Hazel this is Annabeth. She likes books and wants to be an architect." Piper says introducing us. "I think we are going to me good friends!"

Me and Hazel wave both sitting on opposite sides of Piper in the back row.

"Oh no! We have Mrs. Dodds! She is awful!" Hazel says looking down at her schedule scared.

Before I even see my teacher I see about 12 more kids scramble into class so they won't be late. I was a little nervous about this teacher but I was also excited! I was going to win this teacher over! If it's the last thing I do. Which from the way Hazel looked when she realized we had her, it might just be.

"Good morning class." Mrs. Dodds had a scary voice and looked like one of those really, really strict teachers who hits kids with rulers. Okay, maybe my excitement drifted away... I was now a little scared.

"Good morning, Mrs. Dodds." The class says this with no expression and like we've been practicing for years. Which makes me think maybe some of them have been.

Mrs. Dodds starts the lesson and I take a lot of notes. Hazel and Piper both look at their paper confused.

"You can borrow my notes later." I whisper to them as Mrs. Dodds gives out the homework for today(!) (Who gives out homework on the first day?) they mouth Thank you, and I mouth Your welcome.

Percy's POV
I spent all of the day thinking about the girl who I met in the hallway. Now it was lunch and I still hadn't seen her. I walk outside to go to my table. As soon as I walk out everyone looks at me. Most of the girls sigh and stare at me while the boys had a sad look on their face as to say, 'I wish girls looked at me like that,' and I just rolled my eyes and walk over to my friends.

I walked over and they were laughing their heads of. They saw me come over and waved.

"Hey, Perce!" Leo says as I approach, "I was just telling them about that girl who judo-flipped you!" With that they all start laughing again. I roll my eyes thinking of the girl.

"What did you do to her?" Jason asks.

"Well..." my mind trails off thinking of her. Her beautiful princess curls and gorgeous stormy grey eyes...

Just as I thought about her I heard the school doors open and she walks out laughing with a girl named Piper (Jason's crush) and a girl named Hazel (Frank's crush).

The three of them walk over to a tree that no one is at and sit down to eat and talk.

That's Thalia's tree. I think. Thalia is my cousin and Jason's sister. She was totally punk and had t-shirts with sayings like 'Death to Barbie.' and 'Green Day'. Don't ask about Green Day. I think it is a band. I don't know.  But Thalia wasn't here today, so they sat there.

No one else noticed the group of girls that came out. But they did notice me staring...

"Yo, Perce. You okay?" Frank asks.

"He's probably staring at some girl." Leo comments. He looks over to where my gaze is. "Dude is that the chick who judo-flipped you with Jason and Frank's crushes? Honestly their sucky attempt to a love life is sadder then yours. That's saying something," with that last comment I shove his shoulder, "Just saying I mean... she is totally hot, dude... You should totally ask her out before someone else does. Because trust me, they will."

He wasn't wrong. She was so hot. But it looked as if she didn't care though. She was sitting on the ground. I can barely even get Drew to walk in the grass.

I don't know what I'm feeling, but something tells me to go talk to her...

You know what, that just what I'm going to do! I'm going to talk to that girl!

"Stop!" I turn and see the girl yelling at Drew...

Oh no!
