Yoongi was your typical shy, guy friend. He was quiet when it came to public settings, and quiet when it came to personal settings. He was just quiet all the time. He rarely hung out with people, he liked to keep to himself. The only time he ever actually left his home was to go shopping for groceries, and when his 'friend' Hoseok physically pulled him out of the house.
Yoongi had been living in Seoul for awhile. He moved away from his family at the age of 20. He thought he would try his life out in the capital, even though it scared him. He found himself a tiny one bedroom apartment, and he also found himself a fulltime job at a cafe not that far from his new place. He didn't think he would do well at the job, bur he's alright. Not very talkative, shy smiles. That was Yoongi.
He met Hoseok when he was moving in. He lived a few doors down from him, and he was very friendly. He smiled the entire time while Yoongi just kind of stood there to be polite.
Yoongi had always been that way. Quiet, to himself, shy. He had anxiety about meeting new people, going to new places. He had always wanted to make friends, but he was of course to afraid to.
The only time all of that fear left his body was when he got intimate. He had only been like that with one person, that's how he knew. Yoongi was extremely dominant and he didn't hate that. When he was like that he felt as if he had so much power over the other. It's like a demon possessed his body during that time. He didn't know he had it in him.
Yoongi headed out of his place. He took the elevator down and left the building. He headed to work. It was maybe a 15 minute walk to the cafe, but Yoongi always left early to give himself time to enjoy the weather and take it slow. It was sunny out today, but there was a slight chilling breeze. Yoongi wore and pair of black jeans, a white knitted jumper, and his converse. He carried his side bag with his things in it. His apron, sketch book, pencils and colored pencils, his wallet and keys. He walked slowly, as he always did. It was spring time and the cherry blossoms were beginning to bloom on the trees. Yoongi absolutely adored them.
He eventually made his way to the quiet cafe. He stepped inside and was greeted by his coworkers. He headed to the back, placed his bag in his locker and grabbed his apron. He tied it loosely around his waist and rolled up his sleeves. He washed his hands and headed to the front to begin his shift. He had the closing shift today so he knew it wouldn't be busy.
Eventually it was just him in the cafe, it was an hour before closing and he was now the only one. He enjoyed the quietness of the tiny place. He wiped down tables and began to clean for closing. During this time he usually only got about two, maybe three customers. Just as he was pushing in some chairs, two guys came inside. He walked back to the counter and looked at them. "Hello, what can I get for you?" He spoke in his low, mono toned voice. The short one looked at him and smiled brightly. "Could I just get a medium hot chocolate please?" He pulled his debut card out of his wallet and looked down at the machine. "That'll be $3.50" Yoongi picked up a cup and opened his sharpie. "Name?" He looked at the short one. "Oh!" He basically squeaked. "Jimin" he smiled again. Yoongi wrote the name on the cup. It was honestly useless to ask since they were the only ones here, but he thought it wouldn't hurt to find out. He sees these two all that time and never catches their names.
Yoongi placed the cup to the side and look at the tall one. "And for you?" He questioned. "Hmm.. I'll get a caramel macchiato please" Yoongi nodded. That was his favorite drink. He picked up another cup and looked at the other. "Name for this one?" He grabbed his sharpie once more. "Jungkook" he spoke, his voice was like music to Yoongi's ears. He quickly wrote the name down and started making the drinks. He was quick with it. Once he finished he walked over and handed the two their drinks. "Here you are" he looked down at the machine and realized he handnt charged Jungkook for his drink. "O-oh Jungkook? I forgot to charge you for that" Yoongi pointed at the drink he was currently sipping on. "Oh, sorry! I didn't realize" Yoongi nodded and pressed the buttons on the screen. "$4.67" Yoongi read the price out. Jungkook paid for his drink and smiled at Yoongi. Yoongi gave him a small smile back.
"Everytime I come in here your working" Jungkook eyed Yoongis nametag. "Yoongi? Cool" Yoongi picked at his sleeve as he looked at Jungkook. He was taller than him, attractive, and slightly intimidating.
"Your scaring him Kook" Jimin nudged Jungkook. Jungkook smiled as he looked at Yoongi again. "I guess I'll see you next time I come in then, see you later Yoongi" Jungkook turned and walked out. Jimin followed behind.
In that moment. Yoongi felt as if maybe he liked this person. He hadn't felt this way about someone in a long time, and he had seen this person now known as Jungkook so many times. He always caught Yoongi's eye. He was handsome, and someone Yoongi now definetly wanted to know. He glanced at the time, he had 30 minutes left. He finished cleaning up. Mopping, wiping counters, putting ingredients away. By the time he was done it was 11pm. He closed up. Locking the door and turning off the lights. He headed to the back and grabbed his things. He shoved his apron back into his bag and headed out the back door. Once he knew the security system was on. He left. He walked out of the alleyway and onto the main road.
He enjoyed walking at night. The air was cool, it was quiet and it gave him time to think. As he walked, he could hear nearby chatter from a bar that wasn't far from where he was. He looked down at his phone as he walked. He of course wasn't watching where he was walking. Didn't notice someone walking towards him, and bumped into him. Yoongi dropped his phone and stumbled back. "S-sorry!" He stuttered, embarrassed by what had just happened.
"Hey don't worry" the person picked up his phone and held it out. Yoongi finally noticed who it was. It was Jungkook. He didn't have Jimin wirh him though. "Awe you closed? I was coming back for another caramel macchiato" he pouted. Yoongi was confused. "It was good and I wanted another" Yoongi smiled lightly. He was glad he could make good drinks.
"Sorry, we close at 11" Yoongi tugged on his sweater, he was starting to get cold. "You since your on foot, I assume you live around here" Jungkook questioned, Yoongi nodded. "Where abouts? If you don't mind" Yoongi pointed to a building just behind Jungkook. He turned and looked. "Really? There?" He looked back at Yoongi. He nodded carefully. "Odd, I also live there, how could I of not noticed you?" Yoongi scratched the back of his head and shrugged. He had no idea Jungkook lived there too. "Well I'll walk with you, since the cafe is closed I should just go home" Jungkook started to walk. Yoongi felt like he needed to keep up with the other. He walked quickly to catch up. Slowing his pace once he did. "How long have you been living there?" Jungkook glanced at Yoongi as they walked. Yoongi shrugged. "Maybe a month?" He questioned himself. He really hadn't kept track. He didn't think it mattered. "What floor?" Yoongi looked at Jungkook before answering. "14th, you?" Jungkook scoffed. "I'm on the 15th, above you" he chuckled. Yoongi nodded. "1435 is mine" he spoke quietly. "I must he right above you, I'm 1535" Yoongi looked at Jungkook. "Do you dance?" Jungkook looked at the other, side eyed. "How?" Yoongi smiled. "I can hear your feet hit the floor, and the music" he could hear it every second day. He didn't mind. He liked the music that was played, and the dancing sounded complicated.
They reached the building and got inside. They both went to the elevation. Yoongi hit the 14th floor button, and the 15th. They waited and eventually the door opened. "Have a good night Jungkook" Yoongi stepped out, smiled and bowed politely. "Good night Yoongi" the door closed.
Yoongi headed to his apartment. He fished out his keys and stepped inside. He kicked off his shoes. Hung up his bag and pulled his phone out of his pocket. He didn't bother with food and just headed to his room. He changed into a t-shirt and sweats them climbed into the bed. Just as he did, the music above him started. Right on time. Yoongi stayed on his phone for awhile before plugging it in and leaving it on his nightstand. He fell asleep later to the muffled music coming from the apartment above.
Yoongi really liked Jungkook now. He was sweet, funny, and nice to be around. Yoongi hoped he would be able to speak to him more.
What really threw him off was how his anxiety never showed when Jungkook was around him. He was glad, but Yoongi found it odd. Every person he meets gives him anxiety. But not Jungkook. He liked that.
