(No One's POV)
After dinner, Alexander left, saying goodbye to everyone. Philip Schuyler had taken a liking to Alexander, Peggy did as well. And obviously, Eliza had been liking him since she spotted him at the ball. Angelica was excited that her family liked Alexander. She felt that he was the one. She felt that she would one day marry Alexander and everything would be perfect.
But, poor little Eliza still wished, hoped, and prayed that Alexander would "realize" that he was in love with Eliza. However, they never got close. As she realized this, she figured she'd try to get closer to Alexander but try not to be too flirty or touchy, otherwise she'd be betraying her sister.
Alexander joined them for dinner the day after the day after they had dinner together. However, he decided to stay a bit longer after that. So he did. Dinner finished and he and Philip Schuyler talked about the war and things regarding that. When they were done, Eliza was with Peggy and Angelica had pulled him away and started chatting with him.
Eliza got up and walked over to them and joined in their conversation. "Hello Alexander!" She smiled brightly. "Ah, Eliza! Hello!" Alexander replied. Angelica looked at Eliza then back at Alexander them back at Eliza with a poker face. She sensed that something was up, but she wasn't wrong.
As Eliza and Alexander began to get along, Angelica felt a tiny bit of guilt. She slowly started realizing that she was hurting Eliza. She wasn't sure if she still was now, but she definitely did hurt her when they argued over him. However, she overshadowed the guilt with facts.
She spotted him first
She met him first.
She spoke to him first.
She had taken a liking to him first.
"So Alexander, what about that war? How's it going? How long would you be gone?" She asked. She knew exactly how to keep his attention on her. Angelica knew she was being selfish and devilish, but she didn't care right now. She wanted Alexander to herself.
Eliza slowly started feeling down. She left and went to sit with Peggy again. She sighed, "Pegs...I don't think I'm gonna be able to get him to like me.." "I knEW IT-" Peggy shouted, alerting Alex and Angelica for about two seconds, but then went back to talking.
"Eliza, if you wanted him, you should've went to talk to him first" Peggy said. "That's not how it works! The men are supposed to start the conversation!" Eliza whisper yelled. "Why?" The curious girl asked, confused. "It's just how society works, it's how it works." She said. "That's utterly ridiculous.." Peggy scoffed.
Eliza shook her head, knowing Peggy would understand when she was older. But Eliza still felt sad. She felt as though she could never be happy. She put her elbow on her leg and rested her head in her hand and she watched Alex and Angelica blush and laugh.
"...I'm not good enough.."
Eliza thought to herself, looking down.
{MKAY SO THAT WAS THAT. I honestly can't wait to see where this goes. My mind goes everywhere with ideas. I'm not even sure what I should do about the Reynolds Pamphlet. Like if it shouldn't happen because Alex would be satisfied, or if it should but get a roast from Eliza and get an even more fire roast from Angelica and idk.. But yeah! Leave ideas for me and I might consider them! I'll be happy to give credit for helping in any way. Till next time! Goodbyeeee!}
