CHAPTER IV

"Are you doubting me?! For god's sake chaeyoung! Can't I talk to someone else?!" Mina raised her voice but then realized what she did.

She was becoming so sensitive.

"Chae--"

"Just... be honest with me Mina" Chaeyoung asked hanging her head low.

She still can't believe Mina raised her voice to her.

She'd never done that before.

Not even when Chaeyoung tried to snatch her phone while Mina's playing elsword.

So Mina dragged her in a bench that they're currently on.

Before the silence totally kill them, Mina tried to say something.

"I'm sorry Chaeng. It's just... I'm not really in the best mood today."

"But your smile when you're talking to that guy said otherwise" chaeyoung said in her head.

"What seemed to bother you babe?"

"You've been distant lately" Is Chaeyoung's response

Mina sighed heavily while playing with her fingers.

"I know, ...I was.... figuring something out."

"Figuring what exactly? Chaeyoung's becoming confused

"Things about... My preferences" mina answered

Chaeyoung was even more confused.

A lot of things came to her mind.

And she's not liking where this talk is going

"What are you talking about, babe?" 

"I know we're doing great but..." Mina said

"...I guess I can like guys too" mina continued while looking at her lap.

Chaeyoung can't seem to process what she just heard.

Oh crap!

"..." Chaeyoung can't seem to utter a word.

She looked like she was poured a bucket of ice cold water.

Then she remember,

Bambam.

"Sho-should I be worried?" Chaeyoung stuttered asking.

She's nervous as hell waiting for Mina to respond.

Plea--

"I'm sorry chaeng...but I-i think I like him, bambam I mean" mina said looking towards chaeyoung guiltily.

She knows it's wrong but she can't help it.

Mina thought it's better to tell Chaeyoung than to lie to the girl.

"I'm sorry I just thought I shouldn't lie to you. You're my best friend before we started dating so I thought... Maybe we can still be that"

" you're breaking up with me?" Chaeyoung asked

"I'm sorry chaeng. Bambam doesn't know I like him yet so please don't blame him for this" Mina said

"Y-you're protecting that guy."
Chaeyoung's head feels like it hit a hard rock,

She feels dizzy

She wants to be angry with Mina

She wants to curse her for falling for someone while she's with her.

But she knows she cant,

She loves Mina a lot that she'll be willing to let her go if that's what she wants.

She sighed heavily,

Tears threatening to flow down her eyes but she held it.

She don't want to cry.

And she didn't.

Instead, she thought of something ridiculous,

something, someone in their right state of mind won't even dare to do.

"I'll let you go, but please promise me we'll still be friends. Don't avoid me. I'm still your best friend after all."

Mina was surprised but nodded nonetheless

This is supposed to be a break up but chaeyoung still had that  smile on her face.

"At least I'm still in her life" chaeyoung thought to herself.

Clearly,

she's not in her right mind at all.
