jeon jungkook was twenty-two when he first wanted to be a father.

jungkook really couldn't stop staring at the tiny, adorable creature who keeps tugging her mother's leg, and her mother turns out to be one of bangtan's stylist.
"hyung? me?" he was flustered when the little boy calls him with his soft voice.
"jisung, go and play with jungkook hyung. mummy needs to fix jimin hyung's outfit first, okay?" hearing his mother's instruction, the little boy carefully takes his steps, making his way towards jungkook.
"hyung." he says, again, and this time, jungkook couldn't help but to smile. "yes?"
truthfully speaking, jungkook isn't really the best when it comes to kids. a total opposite with his girlfriend, yerim, who is probably one of the best babysitter out there.

"play with me." the little boy extended his small hands, and jungkook gladly pick him up into his arms, as he tries his very best to entertain him.

that sentence alone is enough for yerim to choke on her peach tea, resulting into a panic jungkook whom frantically handed her a napkin and pats her shoulders gently, trying to soothe her coughs.
"are you okay, rim?"
yerim waves her hands, signalling that she is alright. "but what did you just say?"
"i want to be a father."
"jungkook, i... just turned legal... this year?" she trails off, embarrassed with her own words. jungkook couldn't help but to laugh.
"not now, silly." he then takes her small hands into his before rubbing his thumb gently.
"someday, far, far away in the future, i want to be the father of your kids."
("as if i will let you make babies with any other man, anyway.")

twelve years later, he was thirty-four when he marries kim yerim, as he vows to spend the rest of his life with her.
"i love you."
he kissed her a little rougher than how he usually did, but she didn't really mind. "do you really want a child, kook?" she said in between her breath, earning a vigorous nod from jungkook.
