Lena Henderson lived a marginally more unusual life than most. The girl had the voice of an angel, one that adults would coo over, and young girls who wanted to be pop stars envied. That girl is going places, most would say. But, that all changed on her thirteenth birthday, the first day her singing led someone to killing themselves.
Even the most mentally stable of people would go insane and end up dying at their own hand after hearing Lena's voice. So, Lena kept her singing voice locked away, refusing to so much as hum within ten feet of anyone else, until one boy overheard her harmonies and made it out alive.
NOTES:
- So, Lena is vaguely based on one of the sirens from The Odyssey and her voice leads people to committing suicide, kind of like the sirens' voices made sailors crash their ships into rocky terrains.
- for some reason when Derek hears Lena sing, it doesn't affect him
