"miss sooyoung, you've been spacing out for quite a long time during this meeting. have you got anything to share about your class?"

"ah, i'm so sorry... i'm just..." sooyoung began mumbling. she couldn't help but think about that one specific student in her class. she had been teaching little kindergarteners for a few years now, but what was so special about this girl? "all of the students are well behaved in my-my class," she added after a pause.

"miss sooyoung is amazing in class! everyone listens to her with full intent! i have never ever seen little children that excited to listen to their teacher. they even compliment her because she's so pretty and they love it when she sings to them!!" her co-worker added as the woman lightly tapped on sooyoung's shoulder, receiving the uncomfortable nod of the girl. "come on, sooyoung, you're the youngest teacher in our school! have some pride!"

sooyoung lazily shifted back into her seat as she impatiently waited for the meeting to end. all she wanted to do was teach those little children, especially that one girl. she was well aware of the fact that the meeting was taking up her precious teaching time, but it was mandatory for her to attend.

"miss sooyoung," the principal sternly said with a tone of harshness in his voice, "please pay attention. we want to know how we can improve the teaching system. what's on your mind anyways?"

sooyoung picked herself up and a smile formed on her face, the same devilish smile that had appeared whenever she was with yerim. she had broken into a loud cackle, shaking the quiet room. "you really want to know? there's this cute girl in my class— ah she's so cute! she does all of her work and listens to me, but no one picks her up at the end of the day. i watch her quietly say goodbye to me and walk home every day. it just makes me wonder, why?! why? why not pick up such an obedient child?"

"s-sooyoung, calm down..." her co-worker tried to say, before sooyoung intimidated her with a simple hand motion. "i-i think that sooyoung just wants to go back to class, hm? would that be okay?"

the principal and staff could easily notice that sooyoung was upset in multiple ways. the glare in her eyes, her hand cupping her cheek while leaning on the table, her neck aimed in a way to intimidate her superiors — they had noticed it all.

"sooyoung, just go to your class. we-we can fix things here. it's okay!" the principal said, stuttering as he watched sooyoung leave without a simple goodbye. she was the most respected person in the building after all.

sooyoung walked back to her class, her mood instantly changing as soon as she sees the other kids in other classes. she waves and smiles at the children that pass her by, dreaming that they would have her as a teacher.

when sooyoung entered her classroom, the children instantly hugged her and began to scream for their beloved teacher. they hated the thought of the woman leaving them, even if it was a simple second. however, the children began to feel saddened when they had noticed what time it was — time to leave school. "we'll see you tomorrow, miss park!!" they would say as they left.

sooyoung waved to the last of the children being picked up by their parents, noticing the one girl that had always been left behind.

"ye eun-ah, are you okay?" she asked the kindergartener as she sat down on the floor next to her.

"mhm! unnie is picking me up today!" the little girl said with such a familiar smile.

"ah, she is?" sooyoung babied the girl as she couldn't help but notice the beautiful features the girl had.

"she has such a cute eye smile, her nose scrunches whenever she smiles too, she's so patient, her brown eyes sparkle even in the darkness — she's such an adorable baby!" sooyoung thought in her head.
