Cairo Egypt, 1923

Feet slapped against the sandy concrete as a woman dressed in a military green suit, beige strapped heels with hair pinned back walked to a museum. Maggie Carnahan was a very skilled female historian and translator. Much like her younger sister Evelyn she could read, write, and fluently speak the ancient Egyptian language.

She nears the front and becomes nervous. Maggie hasn't seen her siblings in months because she was on a dig. She opens the doors and makes sure to be very quiet when going in. She wanted to surprise her brother and sister. As she enters the library she hears a female voice that she recognizes as her little sister Evelyn or Evy as she likes to be called. She saw her sister put up books on a latter but she was also talking to the books while doing it. It took Maggie all her might to not laugh at her sister, "Tuthmosis. How did you get up here?"

Carefully Evy looked over her shoulder to see the T section. Evy turned her body towards the section and reached out to put the book back in the right place. She places the rest of the books down and stretches as far she could to get to the other bookshelf but still couldn't reach. Evy lets out a gasp as the latter moves away from the bookcase that it was leaning on and now stood on its two legs. Evy stiltwalks for about a minute before loosing her balance and falling onto a bookshelf. The bookshelf falls onto the other one than that one on another one creating a domino affect. Evy slides down the latter and gets up to look up at the damage she caused. She pulls her round glasses off and lets out a barley audible, "Oops."

Maggie was about to run out to see if her baby sister was okay but then the Cruator storms in to see a catastrophe, "Look at this! Sons of the Messiah! Give me frogs, flies, locusts, anything but this! Compared to you the other plagues were a joy."

Evy quickly starts to gather books up, "I'm sorry, it was an accident."

"When Ramses destroyed Syria, it was an accident. You are a catastrophe! Why do I put up with this?" The Curator states still very upset

Evy turns to him, trying to contain herself, "You put up with me because I can read and write ancient Egyptian, decipher hieroglyphs and hieratic, and I'm the only one person within a thousand miles who knows how to properly code and catalogue this library!"

"Yes, and your sister can do all of this as well. I put up with you because your mother and father were our finest patrons, Allah rest their souls, and I trust your sister so when she vouched for you to be put on this job I took her words seriously. Now straighten up this mess." The Curator states then storms out of the room.

Evy stands their for a moment then glares at the ground. She's always being compared to her sister and she hates it. She is lost in thought before being pulled out by a familiar voice, "Evy what mess have you started now?!"

Evy looked up to the voice to see her big sister, "Maggie what are you doing here!?" Evy asks and yells at the same time before running to her and pulling her into a hug.

"We finally finished the dig up so I thought it was about time I came home!" She responds, hugging her tightly.

Maggie smiles at her before whipping out her gun from behind her waist band and pointing it towards the ground when the two women hear a loud sound.

"Where did you get that!?" Evy demanded at her sister in disbelief that a woman like her could have a gun.

Maggie didn't answer. The gun was a gift from her lover, a person who her siblings don't even know about, who went missing it also came with a necklace that she wore around her neck everyday. She hasn't seen him in months. He was in the military so she thought the worst.

Maggie followed Evy into a room filled with ancient Egyptian artifacts. Evy called out the names of people that Maggie did not know, "Abdul? Mohammed? Bob?"

As they go deeper into the room they hear the noise again. The women follow it to a sarcophagus. Maggie kept a hard grip on her gun as Evy went to look. That's when a corpse jumped out scaring Evy causing her to scream while Maggie raised her gun lightning fast.

"Don't shoot! Don't shoot! It's Johnathan!" A male voice yelled out to Maggie before jumping out from inside the sarcophagus hands up.

"You...! You...!" Evy starts but can't find any words

"Drunkard? Fool? Rat-bastard? Please call me something original." Johnathan challenges getting out of the sarcophagus.

Maggie puts her gun away, and sighs, before grabbing a cigarette out of the mummy's mouth, "Have you no respect for the dead?" Evy asks her brother.

"Right now, I only wish to join them" He grins drunkenly. Maggie punches him in the chest.

"Well I wish you'd do it sooner rather than later, before you ruin my career the way you've ruined yours." Evy tells him

"My dear, sweet, baby sisters, I'll have you know, that at this moment my career is on a high note." Johnathan tries to reason and sits down on the edge of the sarcophagus.

"High note? Ha! For five years you've been scrounging around Egypt, and what have you to show for it? Nothing." Maggie tries to explain to her obnoxious older brother as he searches through his pockets excitedly.

"Oh yes I do! I have something right here" Johnathan says with obnoxiousness.

"Oh no, not another worthless trinket, Johnathan, if I bring one more piece of junk to the Curator to try and sell for you." Evy warns him but stops when Johnathan holds out a tiny circular object in front of her. Evy immediately becomes intrigued.

"Where did you get this?" Maggie asks him becoming interested in the object as well.

"On a dig down in Thebes." He answers her looking at the tiny box in Evy's hands.

Evy fiddles around with the box in her hands before it pops open and a piece of paper is pulled out that unfolds into a larger piece, "Johnathan?" Maggie says to her brother.

"Yes?"

"I think you've found something." Evy finishes.
