A bang from the living room had woke me up from my deep sleep i rubbed my eyes and looked over to see king sleep i slid out of bed letting my feet hit the cold hardwood floor i shivered when i made contact before going to the living room"mommy is that you " my mother groaned in response i ran towards her excite since i had not seen her for a couple day now she was proped up againt the living room door but it was to dark to see her fully i turned on the lights my eyes went over her body slowly her clothes where hanging off her loosely she was bruised and her knees where bleeding the skin on them was hanging her face was swollen while her hair was covered in knots and leaves i grabbed her arm softly but she had not budged i started to panic i lifted her head up "mommy wake up please ok we got to clean you please mommy!!" I heard footsteps behind me i looked over and seen my grandmother she shook at my mothers appearance shaking her head with dispointment and grabbed my hand"come on lelo go to bed " i shook my head and held on to my mother crying into her chest " my grandmother steps had retreated from the living room and new ones had came i looked up and seen king i rubbed my eyes softly before getting up and helping him pull my mother up she groaned and slowly followed as we walking her to the bathroom once we got there was already bubble bath drawn i smiled helping remove her clothes and getting her in the bath she groaned and rested her head on the back of tub king and i clean all the mud and blood off her silently ...........
"She looks better "a hand rubbed my cheek softly i open my heavy eyelibs and looked up at my dad he smiled softly at me i sat up slowly noticing the wire in my nose i could tell thats how they were feeding me i look at my dad taking in his appearance he look some how older i was doing this to him the slight grey that made him look handsome when i first met him in his beard had almost covered his face "dad I'm sorry" he shook his head and got onto my bed " kyra this my fault when i said i didnt know your mom was pregnant it was a lie a couple weeks before your mother and i broke up i had noticed her sick alot getting bigger but i just ignored the signs because of the family i already had and look it resulted in this I'm so sorry in all the years of mental abuse that you suffered i should of tried harder with your grandmother for your mother and she wouldnt have been looking for love in the streets and would worried about your well being more " i laid my head on his shoulder "i try so hard not to be like her daddy and not do the same to nova but i just think of my head being pushed into that dirty mattress and guy after guy and it just makes me want to forget anyway i can no matter if its drugs or sex i just want it gone it makes want to scrub my skin off when i think of that day."he wrapped his arms around me pulling me tighter "kyra i will never understand how you feel and if i could take your pain from you i would baby just know will be here for you to lean on ok " i nod and he kisses my forehead before leaving the room

I swung in the chair lightly in the sun room as little snores escape novas lips i looked up at the now setting sun and the winter breeze brushing over us from the cracked window i looked at nova once again i never understood why people would do such stupid things for someone but now i do the love i have for this tiny human being showed me i would do anything to have her big brown eyes look at me or her one tooth to smile at me every morning . " she looks just like her its creepy " i looked up at Roman and nod "she sure does " he sat down beside me "can i ask you something man?" I shrugged and adjusted nova he breathed heavy and played with something in his pocket "do you have any feels for kyra other than like a sister" i sighed and nodded i felt him slouch next to me " of course i do shes the mother of my child but not anymore than that my true love is in my arms right now kyra and I arent meant for eachother so you dont have nothing to worry about why you ask?" he sighed relieved"i never met anyone like kyra these past months i been so worried for her and i feel like i cant breath everytime I'm not around her and when i am my heart it feels like its going jump out " i chuckled " damn she got you like that despite whats been going on with her" he laughed and nodded " my mom said when i find someone i cant breath without never let her go " romen pulled out a black box out of his pocket i almost choke on my spit nova wince in my hand i rocked her softly "you trying propose you barely know her nigga "he shook his head " its a promise ring i'm to young to get married right now but one day she'll get one " i put my hand on his shoulder " she needs this right now but if you hurt her just known you nutts are detactable" he nodded and got up about to leave" aye Roman dont let her say no she sometimes thinks she doesnt deserve nice things because of what happened to her ok " he nodded and smiled before running up stairs ten minutes later i heards screams and laughing i shook my head and looked at the trees outside " king there some women for you want her come in " i groaned probably tiara " i guess " i didnt bother look her way just watched outside "tiara i dont wanna argue i got my daughter right now i had a rough couple of months i need a break" there was a long pause of silence " i cant believe my baby prince grew into his name hes a true king " i look over and seen a women she looked familar "you grew up so handsome just like your deadbeat father " i looked at her face and all the memories came rushing in "mom?" She nodded sweetly " i cant believe your standing in front of me right now i spent two years and thousands of dollars on private investigator looking for my little prince " i shook my head and pulled nova into me more " dont call me that my names king " sadness glossed over her eyes before she nodded "i understand why your mad king when i had youbi was a baby and i didnt know how raise a kid and i was on drugs bad and marianna wanted to help " i shook my head " thats the thing kim marianna wasnt stable either but she did her best to raise me and kyra while she was battled her demons you just ran you know for 2 years after you left i sat in front of the door with my shoes and coat waiting for you to come get me and you never did and till this day i still sleep with my shoes on!! I would never do that to my daughter on drugs on not " she shook her head with tears coming down " king you don't understand i loved you so much i wanted better for you" i laughed bitterly " by leaving me with someone who did the same things as you i still became a drug dealer stop lying you never loved me you only love yourself!!!!! Nova woke up crying i wiped my tears and walked passed my birthgiver
