September 7.

Last night bothered me about Hallie's friend situation. I couldn't sleep much, and it was apparent as my body really didn't want to. I woke up too early and I couldn't get back to sleep. For the remainder of my free time, I just scrolled through social media. I don't check it too often, so I got a bunch of messages.

Most of them are just the normal concerned messages, some are  spams. Then I stumble upon Lia's, my little sister. She messaged me 2 days ago? Oops. "Morning bro. Lis told me what's happening there. I hope you're doing well. I hope you reply soon." We haven't been talking a whole lot lately, so this was a surprise. I reply back but she wasn't online so I just dropped the phone. She's probably oversleeping today since it's Saturday.

Before I could do the same, I had a better idea.

I knock on Hallie's door, "Good morning, Hallie! Here's your specially handcrafted breakfast!" I had to make today's meal, since she seemed to enjoy dinner last night. Today I just make a normal American breakfast since everything prepared seems to exquisite and fancy.

"Good to hear."

I smile at that. "I know it's not our usual time of talking yet but! That's because someone else would like to talk to you."

"?"

I grab my phone and talk on the phone. "She's awake! Come on, you got this!"

The other line answers in a whisper, "Are you sure about this? I hardly know her."

"This will be fine!"

I press the speaker option and hurriedly slide the phone inside the room. "Hallie, I would like you to meet my lil' sister, Lia! She's about the same age as you, and I want you to meet her."

I hear Lia talk, "Hi Hallie. I heard about you and hoped that we could talk."

She slides it back.

I smirk, "Oh come on! She likes anime and cartoons, too."

After a pause, she quickly grabs the phone again. I suddenly realized that I might hear her voice for the first time! I bow my head a little lower, but not peaking, and listen very carefully. Then I heard footsteps and she was running against the door. Dangit. I think she went inside her bathroom or closet, because I heard a loud bang and lock.

I guess it's time to start the day.

After my morning routine, I walk downstairs and everything seems to be neat and organized. I've been doubling my work up recently, so I decided to just pass on cleaning the house for today.

I saw the Suzie putting big heavy trashbags out the door and I offered to help.

"Oh, I'll do it myself. I have to go to the bakery and buy some flour afterwards."

Again, I persuaded her for me to help out. I've been stuck inside this mansion for one week now, and I haven't had the chance to roam around Noir Hillside. She had no choice but to accept and I was thrilled to go. She gave me the directions of the bakery which is a few blocks away only.

I go outside and breath. Ah, fresh air. I mean, besides these trashbags I'm holding. After putting them outside, I wash with the garden faucet and head outside the gates. It's odd that I haven't seen Gregg around. He's normally already up around this time.

I start walking on a fair cloudy day. The streets were so peaceful and clean. There were no parked cars on the road or playing kids or any street litter. It was very quiet, but I can see some gardener on the front lawns. Most of the houses were as big as the Demar's. Some smaller, but still definitely big. I don't get these chances often, so I took my chance to just take it in. I finally reach the small nameless bakery.
