From Sword Art Online. SAO II was one of my favorite seasons as of now. The first half (Phantom Bullet arc) was getting me hyped up. And Shino is best girl. With Asuna and Suguha on the list.
Note: You will be shy/timid IRL. But once you enter GGO, you will build confidence overtime. And also, this will be set after the events of Death Gun and before the Gun Gale Online spin-off.

Two years ago, over 10,000 people became trapped in a VRMMORPG called Sword Art Online. Within the first month of its release, over 2000 users have died. Two years later, everyone within SAO were now free and never want to relive that horror again. Following the adaptation of "the Seed," (watch the end of the Fairy Dance arc of Sword Art Online and you'll get the picture) VRMMOs became the hot new item with games such as Alfheim Online and Gun Gale Online. And for one person, Y/N L/N, you were a survivor of SAO. And you were jumping from ALO to GGO. You never were an outgoing person because you had one obstacle: shyness. So you take virtual reality to help combat that.
"Link start!"
You have now entered the "world of guns" aka Gun Gale Online. You have went through the tutorials on how to handle a gun both optical and live ammo, learn close quarters combat, and how to handle different types of guns like pistols, SMGs, assault/carbine rifles, machine guns, and rocket launchers. You knew that GGO would also sell swords. Photon swords. So to resemble your SAO self and your black swordsman friend, you buy one along with your weapons. (I will let you decide your loadout: frontlines, range, heavy, or support). "Excuse me? Are you a sword user as well?" A female voice said. You turn around and see a girl. She was so beautiful. Turquoise hair and eyes, green coat and khakis. "Me?" You say while turning red. Shyness was starting to kick in. "Yeah. I wanted to use a sword again. Like in SAO and ALO." You say to the girl. "You play ALO? Let me know when you log on. I will invite you to meet my friends." The girl said. "Thank you. I would love that." You say with a bigger shade of red. "My name is Sinon. I will tell you my true name later. What is yours?" Sinon asked. "P-P/N." (P/N means player name) "Want to go on a hunt with me? I had someone who wants to go with me, but he had plans, so I figured I would ask you. How about it?" She asked you. You came on to VR to combat your shyness, so this is the chance to give your answer to Sinon. "Yes. One more thing, I need to buy some ammo for my guns." "I'll help." Sinon said. "I appreciate it, but it's okay." You say to her. "I invited you to hunt with me, so please." She said with a bit of a commanding tone. "Very well." You follow her to the kiosk to buy the ammo for your loadout.
Time skip to the Glocken brought to you by the Space Age
"Let's get to hunting. I know a good place for farming." Sinon said grabbing your hand running to the teleporter. You blush at the contact. You somehow remember Sinon in another place. In the real world. The voice she has was a giveaway.
Flashback
You were on your way to PE since it was like the farthest class from the main campus (I hated running from my art class to the gym back in high school because the gym was on the other side of the campus). You were running across the courtyard moving aside from the other students. You did not notice someone in front of you. You landed on your butt and saw a girl, really cute. She had twin strands of hair with bows on them wearing glasses. She had the most gorgeous hazel eyes. "I am so sorry. I am about to be late for PE." You grab her books and give it to her and you grab your bag. "See you soon!" You shout running to the gym. "Thank you!" The girl shouted at you.
Present time
You freak out internally. 'This is the girl I ran into on my way to gym.I never knew she was a gamer.' You follow her behind the boulders. It was a mixture of a desert and tropical island. You got your gun out and Sinon has her sniper rifle. 'She even looks way cuter like in IRL.' You say in your mind. Then, out of nowhere, a bullet line is aimed at Sinon's head. She was not paying attention to it because there was an enemy as well in front of you. You had a choice: take the bullet or get her out of the line of fire. You did the unthinkable. "Get down!" You tackle her down as you can hear the impact of the bullet. "Sinon, get down!" You shout as you shoot where the sniper is coming from. You grabbed a smoke grenade and threw it at its sight and you go into the smoke. "Sinon, cover me. Here." You tossed her a device that's an optical. "It's an optical. Use it to see me in the smoke." You instructed her. "Got it." She equips it and uses her sniper to provide cover. You then stop in front of her and see the shooter who almost killed Sinon. "Take the shot." You whisper to her. She nods and squeezes the trigger. The shooter falls down as the 'dead' icon appears above his avatar. "Hmm. What's this?" Sinon said as she gets a notification. "It's the person we were hunting for. The high bounty. P/N, we did it. We found him. Thank you!" She jumps into you in a hug. You blush turning beet red and hugged back. "Let's get to the Glocken and collect the bounty and we'll log out for the day."
At the Glocken
"That takes care of that. Now the promise we made back at the shop. Come here, there's too many people here." Sinon grabs your wrist and goes near the alley. "My real name is Shino Asada. I live at (bleep)." You go to her. "My real name is Y/N L/N. I actually live close to you. I might've seen you around school. I may have ran into you during my way to class." "You are the shy boy on campus, right? That explains the fast talk and red face. I have to log out. See you in school." Sinon then gives you a longer hug and whispers something in your ear. "You're cute." And after that, she logged out. You were turning into a nuclear reactor by that compliment.
The next day
You got your school uniform and got your bag and you were on your way to school. The other day in GGO was your boost in confidence when you met Sinon (real name Shino). Now that you know who she was, you couldn't wait to meet her face to face. "Hey Y/N!" You hear a familiar voice. And there she was, the girl who you first met but couldn't talk to because of your social ineptitude.

"Shino?" You say to hopefully get the name right. "You got it. Shy but also smart." She said with a hand on your back. "Finally have a chance to talk to you since that encounter in school and GGO." "Sounds like a bit of confidence in you. Becoming a man." Shino said with a bit of excitement. You then feel a bit of contact on your right hand. Shino was holding your hand. Your face feels warm. And because of VR, you were building up the confidence to ask this question that sparks all relationships. "Shino, is there any chance that you want to, um, well, go out with me?" You say with a tint of red staring her at her beautiful silver eyes. Then you get contact on your lips. It was Shino Asada kissing you. You struck gold! "Does that answer your question?"
