I had wrapped my hands that night, avoiding the wristband at all costs. Sunni had fallen asleep on Bellamy's chest. He insisted on handing her back but she wouldn't let him go. She clutched to his blue shirt as if her life depended on it.

Charlotte had fallen asleep and my right hand was let go, I leant against the cave wall sighing softly before closing my eyes.

Silence. And I loved it.

"How do you do it?" I took in a soft and gentle breath tired to answer Bellamy.

"Bell, please not tonight." My response was tired and horsed out. I just wanted silence for once.

And I wanted it to last longer then a few seconds.

"Please not tonight.." I whispered flattering my eyes shut.

Third Person

Bellamy, held the small girl in his arms. Marie had fallen asleep against the cold wall. Her body fell limp and at this point and time he could see her full appearance.

She had wrapped her hands and her upper arms. Her face was dirty and her black tank top ripped harshly along the ends.

Bellamy couldn't help but to crawl over to the small girl against the cave wall, he watched her take care of everyone else except for herself. He watched her protect a child she had just met, and fight for a boy she had only come across.

Sunni clung to Bellamy whining softly while he moved, He had shushed her in a soft tone like he had with Octavia when she was young he held her close to his chest while he moved across to Marie settling next to the pond.

He laid next to the girl, back hitting the cave wall behind him in the process but before he did. He had retrieved the wet cloth he had moments ago, he turned his attention to the woman next to him.

"You're going to be alright." His comment fell on deaf ears because all three girls were fast asleep. And he knew she wouldn't know.

Gently Bellamy began to wipe the girls face, trying his best not to wake both her and Sunni. One hand stayed on Sunni's head while the other hand fell on the cloth to Marie's face.

"You're a stubborn one Moonlight, I have no idea how you got arrested." His comment made his own heart skip before he finished cleaning her face completely.

It was freshly clean like the first time they'd met, he soon reached into the pond again wetting the cloth completely drenching it before he began to wash Marie's hair pushing it from her face. The girl was far too gone to have woken, she was exhausted and he knew it.

"But I'm glad you were. Because you're here." Bellamy finished off, he had finished all of it, with a sigh Bellamy pulled back laying his frame against the cave wall with Sunni against his chest in a matter of seconds he himself let darkness take over.

Later that night, time had passed and Bellamy couldn't help but to feel slightly comfortable to have Sunni in his arms.

The words he had whispered to her weren't meant for her to hear, but he said it to the small child anyways. They were gentle words that he hoped to have said to Marie.

But it felt as if it were to soon. He felt that if he did say what he had to Sunni that Marie would neglect him all together. He didn't want to fully invisible to her if he did.

The sound of dripping fossils could be heard, but none of the four moved. So quickly at Charlotte's sudden tug to Marie's hand that she had snuck back onto own chest seemed to wake the former teenager up from her slumber.

Marie's eyes fluttered open, squinting at the small shed of light that bloomed into the cave from the doorway.

"No!" Charlotte suddenly screamed this caused Marie to jump up from he seating position. Her body kneeling in front of Charlotte's.

"Charlotte, wake up sweetheart." Marie knew how these things worked. She herself got them back on the Ark when her mom had been floated.

Charlotte lightly sat up in her laying position, moments before her actions they seemed to have straddle Bellamy awake in which he piped up ready for action, the male leaned forward laying Sunni down who had been wrapped in his jacket next to him.

"Hey, wh-what's going on?" Bellamy quickly kneeled next to Marie. He yawned stretching his arms wide before looking from Charlotte to Marie.

"I'm sorry." Charlotte whispered above a whisper. Marie's eyes softened at her small words.

"Does it happen often?" Bellamy asked warmly trying to calm the small girl down, Charlotte sighed.

"What are you scared of?" Bellamy insisted to ask her. But he didn't get response, not one.

"You know what? It doesn't Matter." Charlotte looked at Bellamy, Marie did too from the corner of his eye.

Bellamy gulped to continue.

"The only thing that matters is, what you do about it." Marie smiled softly at this.

"But...I'm asleep?" Charlotte questioned to the man kneeling before her stone cold bed.

"Fears are fears kid, Slay your demons. When you're awake. They won't be there to get you when you sleep." Marie frowned.

She sunk Bellamy's words noting the sentence completely so she herself could think about it later.

"Yeah, But... how?" Charlotte whispered clearly unaware on how this worked. Bellamy sighed leaning on the ridged  edge of her bed.

"You can't afford to be weak. Down here, weakness is death. Fear is death. For some it's hard but for others-" Bellamy's eyes trailed to Marie who turned her gaze from Charlotte to him.

"It's easy, because they've had to deal with it longer." His comment was sharp yet it wasn't harsh or rude. It was calm and collected. His eyes trailed over Marie, she had smiled at him it only being a small smile set him to also give one back before turning his attention back to Charlotte.

"Let me see that knife I gave you." Bellamy breathed out. Charlotte quickly sat up retrieving it from her back pocket handing the make-shift knife to him.

"Now, when you feel afraid, you hold tight to that knife and you say. 'Screw you. I'm not afraid.'-"

Bellamy gently gave the knife back to Charlotte while Marie watched the scene play out.

"Screw you I'm not afraid." Charlotte murmured.

Marie fell dumbfounded, Charlotte was absolutely oblivious when she had said that. She didn't know how to say it and so she only said it under breath.

Her eyes softly glanced up at Bellamy who tilted his head raising his eyebrows at the small girl, Charlotte sighed glancing at Marie who was sat in the far distance she smiled in return for her to give it all that she had.

"Screw you. I'm not afraid." Charlotte repeated once again. But this time her voice ran low and confident. Bellamy smiled wide, patting the child's leg.

"Slay you're demons kid. Then you'll be able to sleep." Bellamy replied. Laying back against the cold cave wall.

His eyes averting to Marie, she was where he had sat before he'd chosen to clean her. It seemed as if they had swapped seating arrangements. Sunni was in her lap and Marie was now feeding her a bottle.

She was rocking Sunny between her knees and chest. Bellamy couldn't help but to watch along with Charlotte. With a loud sigh he had wiped his face roughly with his hands.

He hated what clouded his mind yet he wanted to know the reason why.

Why was Marie Holmes so fucking difficult?

Why the hell was she so different?

He just couldn't understand.

Yet he was afraid to understand to begin with.
