From memory in autumn’s shade
Once fruitful fields and cloudless sky

Blurred windows and rivered roads
Mud slides fall as land erodes
Sucking life from the earth
With natures unrelenting dearth
And then comes winter’s culling knife
To snuff out final weakened life
