Hey guys
So I kinda want to take the whole perico part slow because like they need to actually realize their feeling and stuff so it may be a while before they actually admit any feelings. So I'm sorry for the inconvenience if anyone is actually reading this. Enjoy

Nico POV
I sit up in bed, gasping like a fish out of water. What was that?

I dreamt of a beach, and I was hidden in the shadows. Percy was looking for something as he walked along the shore, but he didn't see it. The giant beast roared and ran at him. I couldn't say anything.

The monster conquered him without a fight, just destroyed him. Percy was frozen, and I was hidden in the forest, and I couldn't do anything to help. I was hopeless and unable to speak. I had just closed my eyes and looked away. Then I woke up after what seemed like an eternity.

Of course it had to have been Percy who I dreamt of. The guy that's "not my type".

Percy POV
Annabeth and I fell asleep that night, and I woke up with her elbow in my ribs. I tried to get up without waking her, but she groaned and looked at me with tired eyes. Her hair was all messed up and her cheek had marks from the blanket on it.

"What time is it?" Annabeth says sleepily.

I find my phone and look at it.

"Shist. It's five in the morning," I look at her and then collapse on the sand. "We should go back to our cabins"

Annabeth groans again and mutters something into the blanket.

"Come on. Let's go." I get up to my feet and start cleaning up. Annie gets up too, and she starts folding her blanket up.

She stops after a few moments-  contemplating something. She looks off to the horizon where the sky still holds some twinkling stars. She sighs and looks at me.

"Seaweed brain. . ."

"Annie, just say it."

"Perce, I know that we're drifting. You know it, too. I just need to know if we want to work to get closer." Annie says as she kicks at the sand and hugs the blanket closer to her chest.

"I don't know if we can, you know? We're different now, and we can't change back."

I sigh, and she smiles at me. The glint in her eye says everything- there's no more "Percabeth" and we're both free now.

"It's settled then." I grin at her and she returns it. We're our own people now, but I know we will still be the best friends that we were before.

Sorry this took so long. I kinda took a break from writing because I didn't really have any ideas. I don't really have any for this, but I want to write. Any suggestions would help, and let me know if I'm rushing anything.
