Chapter 19

I couldn't put off going to the VIP area any longer since there was absolutely nowhere to sit and my feet were killing me.

As I walked towards there I bumped into Marina.

"Where are you? I haven't seen you all night!" She told me.

"I was dancing." I said faking a bright smile. "Where is everyone?" I asked looking around. I realized that the only people in the VIP area that I knew were Bernard and Dani.

"They left. I thought you were with them." She told me.

"No, I was with Alex." I said. 'Why did they leave?"

"They got attacked by the mob." She told me as we reached Bernard. She sat next to him and he hugged her. "Neymar went to the dance floor and everyone went crazy."

"What happened?"

"It took all the staff to get him out of there!" Bernard said. "And Bruna was annoyed by all the commotion so they left."

"And everyone else?" I asked. "David?"

"I think there was some sort of misunderstanding." Marina said. "David asked me at some point..." She said trying to remember. "But Thiago said you were in Hulk's car? So they left thinking you had already gone."

"Great. And where are they going?"

"Hulk and the others are going to another club." Bernard said. "Dani is going too, if you want to go. And David and Thiago headed back I think."

"What about you guys?" I asked but the look on their faces told me what I needed to know.

"We'll see you in the morning." Marina said.

I stood up and walked over to Dani.

"Where have you been Oli? Are you up for another club?" he asked me.

"Not really." I said. "Is there anyone going back to the compound?"

"I don't think so."

"Any buses?"

"At this hour? Not likely. You want to go back?" He asked me.

"Yeah but if no one is going..."

"I'll take you."

"No, no. You wanted to go to that other club." I said. His phone rang and he stepped away to answer it. In the meantime I went back to find Alex and bring him back.

When we came back Dani was still on the phone. When he closed it he gave me a big smile. "It's settled."

"What is?"

"I called around to see who was where, the others had just made it back but David offered to come get you guys bu-"

"No! No, tell him there's no need!" I cut him.

"No he's not coming, because Neymar is still here. He just dropped Bruna off and he is coming to get you guys."

Alex and I stepped outside of the club through the back door to wait for Neymar. I was drunk enough to not feel anxious about seeing him and being so close to him for the drive home, but the image of him and Bruna kissing kept replaying in my head.

I noticed that Alex was leaning on the wall for support. I wondered how drank he was. He was leaning in before, leaning in to kiss me and I stopped him. Should I have done that? I wasn't sure.

I saw Neymar's car pulling in the parking lot and thankfully coming to a halt in front of us.

"C'mon Alex, let me help you." I said and tried to get him to lean on me. We walked a few steps when he lost his balance. In an attempt to catch him I lost mine and fell down.
