Two months later after the break up
{Grayson's POV}
The tension between us filled the room, curiosity spread through our friends faces as we chilled in mine and Ethans basement watching movies. I don't know what kind of tension there is but it sure did make things awkward. We both knew it.
I should have let you know, that you're my only one.
"You guys want any drinks or snacks" I offered leaving my seat.
"I'll have a soda" Ethan said.
"Gray can I have some pretzels" Kelsey asked.
"Sure thang, anyone else"
"Get me and Wes some drinks and snacks, anything bro" Aaron said.
"I'll help you" Weston laughed causing everyone to pause what they were doing and pull a questioning face.
She led the way, shrugging my shoulders I nonchalantly followed her.
"So how are you holding up?" She asked opening the fridge and grabbing sodas.
"I'm good, what about you?" I asked grabbing snacks.
"I miss you, but this is the right thing, right?" She asked looking for reassurance.
"We can be friends right?" I asked looking for reassurance.
"I hope so" She smiled at me, making me weak at the knees, so of course I stumble.
*thud*
"Oh my god Grayson are you okay?" She asked laughing at me.
"Not exactly" I laughed.
She came to help me up from the floor but I accidentally on purpose by accident dead weighted causing her petite frame to fall, I pulled her towards me causing her to fall onto my torso.
We both laughed hysterically.
"You've always done this Gray" she laughed hitting my chest.
"Sorry, miss perfect" I laughed.
By this time she was still on top of me as everyone began to crowd in the kitchen.
"You gonna-" I begin to ask but Wes cuts me off.
"-oh, uhm yeah, yeah" she got up and I did the same nodding.
"Wes" I called her.
"Yeah?" She replied.
"It was nice to talk to you again" I smiled.
"Same" she smiled at me before leaving to head home.
"Peace out guys" she smiled as she left the house.
"So Gray, whats good and fresh with you two?" Maggie smiled.
"It's nothing, just us being friends" I lied.
"Mhm" Rachel teased.
"Mhmmm" I sarcastically mock Rachel, breaking out in a giggle.
"But for real, what's going on" Ethan asked.
"We are at a good place, with mutual feelings" I shrug.
"She misses you Gray" Maggie said.
"She told me, thats why feelings are mutual" I sighed.
