Lost.

236 40 19

They went out every night,
To have hard, fast fun which usually ended in a fight,
Every day was just like this,
Play dress up,
Be engulfed in transgressing desires,
Succumbing to the menacing jaws of the evening.

No one knew why they did what they did,
Their eyes always stayed cold, glassy, caged,
Loyally keeping their histories hidden,
And defending their rebellious doings.

They held their heads up high,
As the judgemental stares intensified by and by,
Their only response was simple and short,
"They don't know us."

But did they ever stare into a mirror,
Look past their icy hearts,
Deep into their souls,
And ask themselves the question constantly haunting them,
"Who am I?"
