Lane woke up the next morning in the infirmary. She slowly sat up from the bed she had been laying on. As the girl hoisted herself off the bed she felt every muscle in her side stretch. Lane turned toward the exist of the room, but before she could leave the nurse had entered from the other side of the room stopping Lane.

"And where do you think you're going, Miss Thompson?" The nurse asked.

"I was on my way out, probably go see my friends and let them know I'm ok." Lane answered the nurse, looking at the door wanting to leave more than ever.

"Well, you are free to leave but you might want to change into more suitable clothing." The older woman said smirking. Lane looked down at her attire and realized she had only been wearing a robe. The teen blushed out of embarrassment and quickly grabbed her clothes from last night which had been sitting on the counter.

The nurse nodded her head at Lane and left to give the teen privacy so she could change. Lane stripped off the robe and looked down at her bruised side. There wasn't any pain but the bruising looked horrendous.

After Lane had managed to put on her clothes she made her way out into the hallway. The hybrid was took by surprise however when she felt three pairs of arms wrap around her. She found that it was none other than Hope,Lizzie, and MG.

"Guys I really appreciate the hug, but you're kind of crushing me." Lane squeaked out not really being able to breathe.

The three friends where quick to release Lane. They were all just happy to see the girl ok. Last night when they had brought the hybrid down to the infirmary the nurse said there was a chance Lane could have been in danger of the poison from the gargoyle.

"How are you feeling?" MG asked, Lane noticed the way they all looked at her. As if she was fragile glass about to break, she knew it was only out of concern but none the less she still didn't like it.

"I feel fine, the supernatural healing helped a lot." Lane joked with the others, hoping to make them see that she truly was better.

"You're an idiot you know that. You could have died last night, do you have any idea how much that would have hurt the people around you." Hope said raising her voice slightly, Lizzie hit the Mikealson girls shoulder, they all agreed to be nice to Lane when she had gotten better so they wouldn't put any stress on her. But Hope didn't care she could have lost her best friend last night. That's a loss Hope wouldn't be able to take.

"Hope..." Lane has begun to say, but the tribrid has left before Lane could even finish what she was going to say.

"She's just scared Lane, she's not mad." Lizzie assured the girl. While putting a hand on her arm for comfort.

"Yeah, she stayed out here all night just to make sure you were ok." MG added.

Lane nodded her head at the two, she knew why Hope was acting the way she was, and she understood that last night was a lot for Hope.

"Hey, um where's Josie?" Lane questioned the blonde twin. Wondering why Josie wouldn't have visited her this morning as well as the others.

"She's currently pouting in our dorm room." Lizzie said rolling her eyes.

"Why would she be pouting, that doesn't sound like her." The hybrid said, confused by Josie's actions.

"Well, Dr. Saltzman is sending us to Mystic High for some information on Dana." MG explained to the teen since she hadn't been around for all this information.

"I think I'm going to go see her, we kind of have some things we should talk about." Both MG and Lizzie smiled and nodded at Lane and let her go in her way.

••••
Lane had entered the twins bedroom and peeked through the door. When she did she saw Josie sitting on her bed writing something into a journal. The pout on her face was something Lane had never seen the girl do. It was cute in Lane's opinion.

"Pouting gives you wrinkles you know." Lane said to the girl, making Josie aware to the fact that she had come into the room.

At the sight of Lane, Josie felt herself becoming happier. The Saltzman girl loved spending time with the hybrid.

"I'm not pouting." Josie answered back, she patted her hand to the spot next to her in the bed. Motioning for Lane to come sit next to her.

"I know a pout when I see one." Lane said as she sat next to the girl. "What's bothering you?" Lane asked.

"It's just, this morning I wanted to come and see you but then I got caught up with Raf because he got into a fight with Jed." Josie let out sounding aggravated.

"Hm, so you had quite the morning then." Lane said smiling at the girl. Ignoring the jealousy creeping through her because of Josie being with Rafael.

"Yeah it was something alright." Josie said while laughing, Josie grabbed Lane's hand and began to play with her fingers. "Lane, can I ask you something?"

Josie started to get nervous under Lane's gaze. She had trouble even formulating a sentence around the girl sometimes.

"Yeah, you can ask me anything Jo. You know that." The hybrid said giving Josie's hand a comforting squeeze.

"What are we exactly, like are we together now?" Josie said nervously, avoiding Lane's eyes she looked down at their connected hands.

"That's actually why I came up here to talk to you about." Lane said, she as well began to feel herself getting anxious.

"And.." Josie mumbled out, still not looking at Lane.

Lane let out a small chuckle and put her hand under Josie's chin to tilt her head up so she could look at the girl. "And, I'm here if you want me."

"Of course I want you, you idiot." Josie said while laughing. She wrapped her arms around the hybrid girl and had no intentions of letting go.

"I've gotten called an idiot a lot today, jeez." Lane joked, pulling away from the hug and laying on her stomach and resting her head on Josie's lap. The Saltzman started to run her fingers through Lane's hair as they sat there in a comfortable silence.

"Yeah well you're my idiot." Josie said, Lane laughed as well. She enjoyed the fact the Josie has just called the girl 'hers'. Lane was happy that for once she finally had someone to call her own, that she finally had something to make her feel at home.

Hey guys! So this is a short chapter, I know. I just wanted to give you all a filler chapter because I haven't uploaded in a while. The next chapter will be longer I promise. Also I'm thinking of giving a nickname to Josie that Lane would call her so let me know what you guys think it should be. Anyways I hoped you enjoyed!
