The Furuya Twins

2. Seido (Tokyo)

Almost there. Satomi and Furuya were currently in the train heading to Tokyo. Satomi had a window seat. Furuya was sleeping, his snot bubble blowing with his breathing. Typical, Satomi thought. Not even a trace of nerves. She was busy with a to do list. 1. Find the head coach, 2. Get settled into dorm rooms, 3. Get a lay of the land 4. Start observation of players. "Onii-chan, wake-up, were almost there." Satomi woke Furuya up. He slowly woke up, blinking his eyes. "Onee-chan? Are we almost there?" He asked, his aura becoming exited.

"Yes, so let Ojiisan know." Their grandfather will meet them at the station and take them to Seido. "Welcome my grandchildren. I hope you will find your place here." Their grandfather is kind of formal, but has always supported them. He knows the struggles Furuya has been through with baseball. "Satoru, don't forget to look after your sister. You are the eldest after all." Satomi just shook her head. Well, he does try, she thought. They were dropped off at the gate without fanfare and told to come and visit when they could. "Okay Onii-chan, let's head to the dorm rooms first." They were walking towards the dorm rooms when they heard a scream and hyena laughter following. Furuya gave a sharp look towards the sound, "It's not our place Onii-chan", Satomi said laughing. This is going to be interesting.

Furuya went off to find his dorm room while Satomi is off to do #1 on her to do list, Find the head coach. Well, his office is probably near the baseball fields and dorms... she thinks, walking in that general direction. While she's walking she could see the first years starting to arrive, and she could also see some of the older members practicing. Wow, what a place. They are probably good if they practice so hard outside of normal practice. While she was looking at them she come to a stop, lost in thought. Obviously the players weren't used to seeing an unknown girl walking around their practice area. 

A group of the regulars saw her standing there, "Who's the chick? (Isashiki). Maybe a new manager? (Ryousuke). I wasn't informed of a new manager (Yuki). Don't you think we need more girls around here? (Miyuki). Then maybe Jun-san can finally get a girlfriend –laugh- (Miyuki). Mmmm –exhaling letting out smoke-(Miyauchi). DO YOU WANT TO DIE BAKA MIYUKI? (Isashiki). If you're making suggestions like that Miyuki, why don't you go ask her why she's here –evil smile- (Ryousuke)."

Satomi was still deep in thought when someone spoke to her in a slightly mocking voice, "It might be easier to remember if you take a video." She turned around. He was taller than her with black rimmed glasses. He ran a hand through his brown hair. Wow, Miyuki thought. What striking eyes. And her black hair against that pale skin... "Excuse me? Did someone ask you?" Satomi folded her arms. Miyuki smirked. A feisty one. She looked at him. He seemed vaguely familiar... "Miyuki Kazuya? Starting catcher?" she asked. "So you know me? Of course you do! Who are you?" "Furuya Satomi. I'm looking for the head coach." Miyuki was surprised. Why would she want to see the coach? "Okay Satomi-chan, I'll take you to the coach." Satomi glared at him. "It's Furuya-san to you." Miyuki laughed, "Nevermind Satomi-chan, just follow me."

*meanwhile at the regulars* All standing in a huddle, watching Miyuki talk to Satomi. "Why can he be so calm talking to girls? (Isashiki). Jealous he's talking to your future girlfriend? (Ryousuke). NO! THAT TEME JUST HAS TO MUCH CONFIDENCE! (Isashiki). He is very confident (Yuki)."

Satomi followed behind Miyuki. "So which grade are you Satomi-chan?" She decided to ignore the informal use of her name. "I'm a first year." "So why Seido?". "You'll find out soon enough." They arrived at the coach's office. "Here we are Satomi-chan. Coach Katoaka's office. See you around." He smirked at her. "Thank you ever so much Miyuki. I'll be seeing you." Miyuki laughed, put his hands in his pockets and went back to practice.

Satomi took a deep breath and knocked on the door. "Enter!", was heard from the inside. "Pardon the intrusion", she said, "I'm Furuya Satomi." The coach was sitting behind his desk. Takashima Rei was also sitting there (Satomi knew who they were because she did research on Seido). "Ah, Satomi-chan. Welcome to Seido. Coach, this is the girl we were just talking about. The one who was a trainer and manager for her baseball team in Hokkaido." Coach just sat here, looking at Satomi through his dark sunglasses. "Take a seat Satomi-chan."

*A while later

Satomi had just finished unpacking her things in her room (she had a single room)(to do list #1 and #2 completed), when Furuya came in. "Onii-chan!" she gave him a hug. "I'm going to be a trainer/manager!" "So you spoke to Coach?" Furuya asked. "Yes. We have a tough road ahead of us. But I think this will be our team." Furuya stretched out on her bed. "I hope so too."
