"Sir?" Napalingon ako kay Claire. "You have a meeting with your father in 30 minutes." She nodded at bumalik sa cubicle niya. Naalala ko tuloy na malapit na ang kasal nila Lourd at Monique. Wow, pati ba naman yun muntik ko ng makalimutan.
All I was thinking about was Eleanor. Lakas namang manghatak ng babaeng yun. Ganito ba talaga epekto niya?
Inayos ko ang sarili ko at inubos yung kape. Hindi na ako magtataka kung atakihin na lang ako bigla dahil overdose na ako sa kape.
I shrugged. Wala naman talagang nagbago eh. Mag-isa pa din ako. Ikakasal pa din si Lourd at Monique. Sineseryoso naman si Eleanor ang paghahanap niya ng babae. Mahirap pa din ang Pilipinas. Ako lang yung hindi makaget over sa kiss na yun.

"Dad," Dad nodded in recognition and motioned for me to seat across him. Andito kami ngayon sa conference room. Probably talking one-on-one.
Kinamusta lang ni Dad ang kompanya. Stable pa din naman at walang problema. I mean, I have no reason to be inefficient for this job. Bata pa lang ako ay pinamulat na sakin na ako ang magdadala ng pinaghirapan niya.
Unfortunately, may family si Fier at babae siya. She's a Doctor too and her degree in Medicine is not for Business. It's always a man who puts up the front for this kind of job. Si Lourd naman, well he took BS Economics, but he's happy with Monique at wala siyang interes sa ganitong business. I am but the unlucky one.
"Pinagbigyan kita, Chance. I gave you this position and also gave my blessing to Lourd and Monique. But let me ask you a favor. I want you to settle down. Hindi naman pwedeng company lang ang inaatupag mo." Dad stated.
"Dad, I'm only 24." I grimaced.
"Then when? In one month, Lourd is getting married. Hindi rin magtatagal, magkakapamilya na din siya. What about you? Para kanino ba tong pinaghirapan mo?" For some reason, si Eleanor ang biglang pumasok sa isip ko.
"I don't know. I haven't figured it out yet."
"Go out for a while, Chance. Meet new people, women to be specific."
"I'm trying," I sighed.
"Alright. Just don't fail to give me a grandchild. Anyway, aattend ka pa din ba sa wedding ni Lourd?"
"What? Of course, he's my brother. I wouldn't miss it for the world." Mataman lang akong tiningnan ni Dad. After a few more words, nagpaalam na din siya dahil may appointment pa sila ni Mommy.
