3019, Unnamed Galaxy

A spaceship shot across space, passing planets and huge stars. On a whim, they were going past galaxies and other celestial bodies across the universe. It almost felt like the speed of light, but it was not. They were in the progress of tessering, almost a way of teleportation. When the world entered the advanced state of technology, humanity was able to develop this kind of travel, enabling them to explore unknown places in the vast universe. However, the tesseract is not always that accurate and they could end up in another place in the universe. But Alex was confident that they could make it.

"I promise we can make it," he said to his wife and his three children while he was on the wheel.

"I trust you," Drake replied quickly and confidently.

"Me too," answered Dominic.

Alex smiled and then turned to his wife, who was comforting the baby, Gil, on her arms. She smiled sadly for a few seconds. "I trust you too," she finally said.

He turned to the wheel and held on it and waited on what is to come. I hope the NASA scientists are right this time, Alex thought, the determined look returning to his face.

All at once, they abruptly appeared into space, their spaceship zooming at regular speed.

"Are we here?" his wife asked.

"I don't know," Alex replied.

Suddenly, a pop up screen appeared on the glass. It showed a close up of space rocks. "Obstructions ahead," came a warning.

"Hold on tight," Alex said to the mother, Dominic, Drake, and Gil. Then he gave a magnanimous smile as he dodged the first few space rocks by passing through them vertically. Then, as soon as it was clear, he went under another rock that was about to collide with the spaceship. After that, about a dozen smaller space rocks were scattered like a barrier in front of him. He stopped the spaceship.

"Helen!" he called out to his wife. "Get the guns."

She did not reply to him, but she said to her oldest child, Dominic, "Watch Gil for me," Then, she slowly gave the baby to his arms and rushed to the weapon system.

The weapon system was a podlike base with laser guns. She sat on the seat and fastened her seatbelt while the targeting system pop up screen appeared. She used the virtual joystick to aim for the rocks and as the spaceship moved, lasers came out from the guns and the rocks erupted in miniature explosions in space.

"Hell yeah!" Alex exclaimed over the intercom built in the podlike structure.

The spaceship lurched forward, past the remnants of the space rocks, and then a planet came into view. It was a green planet with clouds swirling around it. Years ago, NASA confirmed that there was a planet filled with an almost Earth-like twin. There was bodies of water, plant life, more species of organisms, and it satisfies the criteria for a new planet with the title Earth's twin.

NASA named it Greta.

Alex was amazed with the view. The kids came up to the front and saw it as well. He was also sure that his wife saw it as well and that she was pretty amazed with the new life-giving planet called Greta.
