RANT TIME: FREE RIDERS

Ok, so I‘m sure some gamers can understand this feeling. THE FEELING OF SOMEONE TAKING SOMETHING YOU WORKED FOR.

Free riders; they hurt my head, really. While you‘re there, mining for Emeralds and Diamonds in a prison server, they‘re there, stealing the loot before you can even get it. I mean, they‘re just there, holding their pickaxes but not even bothering to mine for themselves, like, HELLO?! What‘s the pickaxe for, a Christmas decoration to wave it in front of everybody like, “YO LOOK AT MAH PICKAXE IT‘S SOOOO PURTTY!“ Gurl (the free rider I met is seriously a girl -_-), a pickaxe is a pickaxe. You use it to mine, not to rub it onto other people‘s blocky faces (if you still can‘t tell, I‘m using Minecraft as an example here) like it‘s the most OP object in the server.

I mean, come on, too scared to use it because you used 30 levels to enchant it?

This is a prison server, gaining 30 levels is just a piece of cake, even for the lowest rank.

Yes, I understand that you‘re still a low level-rank, and you need money to go higher, but really? Take the other people‘s emeralds and diamonds that THEY mined for and not you?

I‘ll borrow my friend‘s Les Misaerables book and virtually thwack you in the head with it.

I even pm-ed this girl, telling her [nicely] to stop free riding and start mining for her own. I was still a bit calm that time, but you know what she showed me? She started mining an emerald ore with a diamond block.

Excuse me while I hit my head in the wall in frustration.

I mean, really? After she did that I just stared at her, gaping at her idiocity. I couldn‘t even speak IRL, it‘s like she took away half of my vocabulary! Even the people in the same mine with us started screaming at her in the chat.

And she‘s just there, acting innocent like she has done nothing wrong.

And you want proof that she‘s a free rider?

Everytime I stop mining because she gets in my way, she just backs away from me and stares at me, waiting for me to continue. She just stares, not even bothering to move and start mining with the diamond pickaxe in her hand. And when I surface the mines to get the ores above, she follows me. I mine an ore, then she gets the fudging mineral. Trust me, after 15 minutes of that, I almost became like SimonHDS90 and break my keyboard in half.

I literally stopped mining and pretended to be AFK, and she stood in front of me, waiting. Don‘t tell me that‘s not creepy, ‘cause I don‘t even know her other than a free rider. And when another player enters the mine, then she starts moving and follows that oblivious guy. He was lucky I was there, because I warned him.

After 2 hours (yes, 2 hours), did she stop?

OF COURSE NOT!

And I was pretty much in the verge of strangling the PC.

Let‘s use another game: Leauge of Legends. You‘re a pro, and you‘re teamed with noobs and some decent players. The noobs beg for your help, and since you‘re his/her team mate, you have to help them. And once you help them, you get killed by the other team, thus causing you to “Shut Down!“ But in the end, your team won, but the noobs take all the glory by thinking it‘s them who helped a lot, when in reality,they were just to weigh the team down. Or if you got defeated, the noobs are the ones who has the guts to blame you and the others for their defeat when they did absolutely nothing but to charge into the battle unprepared and wail for your help afterwards.

Now isn‘t that amazing? (Note the sarcasm)

If you‘re a free rider- stop. Just, stop. You‘re not helping anyone. Not even yourself.

If you need ores, go fudging mine. It‘s not like Herobrine‘s gonna mine stuff for ya when you‘re in survival single player. Because if he did, then better get ready to call Notch about his “brother“ haunting your game.
