The days passed quickly.

I worked nonstop when I didn't see you. Went home with aching shoulders from cutting out and binding pictures together in the morning shifts at Maple Photography & Albums.

Evening shifts entailed wiping down tables, cooking greasy food, loading up the dishwashers, logging stock, until midnight.

I had a meeting with my boss at MAP to suggest how to expand the company's influence in L.A. and explained the menu to customers at Willis'.

I tried to smile more, because you told me you like it when I smile.

The days passed, but they weren't quite the same without you there.
