Tip 1: Wash your hair on every 2nd or 4th day, depending on how greasy your hair gets. This maintains your natural oils yet still allowing your hair to be clean.

Tip 2: Do not tease or backcomb as you are damaging your hair (not to mention tangling it all up).

Tip 3: When washing your hair, avoid using your nails. This will really damage both your nails and your scalp. Instead, use the pads of your fingers.

Tip 4: When conditioning, concentrate on the tips of your hair.

Tip 5: Always wash with lukewarm water. Hot water dries your scalp and can make it feel tight.

Tip 6: Always use a wide-tooth comb to comb through conditioned hair.

Tip 7: Once you have finished your shower/bath gently squeeze your hair to get rid of any extra water. However, do not put it in a towel. This causes the hair to break.

Tip 8: Do not blow dry your hair. In fact, do not use any tools that use heat. This causes split ends and burns your hair. If you have to use them, I advise you to put heat protectant first.

Tip 9: Drink loads of water. This will keep your hair hydrated and maintains its natural moisture.

Tip 10: Don't always wear your hair tied. Allow it to relax and BE FREE (especially at home).

Tip 11: Wear your hair in braids/plaits 2-3 times a week. This helps the growth and health of your hair.

Tip 12: Massaging your scalp for 5-10 minutes a day helps the blood circulation and helps your hair relax.

Tip 13: During the last 30 seconds or so, use cold water to rinse your hair. This will lock in the nutrients and close in the cuticles.

Tip 14: Try not to use too many hair products. This causes your hair to lose its natural look and just damages it.
