Chapter 14 (Edited)

Start from the beginning

"Sit the suitcases by the bedroom door," I ordered. They did as told and went on to put the food away. After they were done they left the room with no words, and I went back to watching TV for a bit before I saw that it was pushing 5:00, so I went to wake up Tiana, to see what she wanted for dinner. I shook her lightly. "Wake up Bambina," I whispered in her ear. She stirred a little but still did not wake up. I shook her a little harder which caused her to open her eyes.

    "What?" she asks, annoyed.

"What do you want for dinner?" I asked her softly, trying to avoid looking at the beginnings of a bruise on her beautiful neck. The color didn't look right on her beautiful sienna-colored skin.

'That's because it's not supposed to be there you fucking asshole.' I scolded myself.

"I don't care." She mumbled before turning her back to me.

I sighed and got up to order a pizza. I know that it's going to take a lot for her to forgive me and I had a lot of making up to do. I knew it was wrong the moment my hands wrapped around her neck the first time. I never thought I would ever put my hands on a woman, especially Tiana. I groaned and banged my hand on the counter,  making a rather loud bang, "Fuck" I hissed in pain, as my hand throbbed. Not even seconds later did I hear angry footsteps make their way into the kitchen.

"What the hell are you yelling for Jason?" Tia snapped at me

    "Sorry," I said softly.

"Whatever Jason." She rolled her eyes, turning to walk away

"Wait," I called for her. She stopped and turned to me with her arms crossed and a mug on her face.

"What do you want Jason?" She sneered at me.

"I apologize for earlier." I started. "It was wrong and unnecessary for me to put my hands on you."

"Okay. She said simply, before turning again.

"I wasn't finished talking to you," I said she turned back to her previous position, not bothering to speak this time. "I want to take you out tomorrow," I told her

"What makes you think that I want to go anywhere with you?" She jeered

    "Please?" I begged

"Fine." She said, turning to walk away finally. "Tell me when the food gets here." She demanded walking onto the bedroom once more.

I shook my head and went on to order the pizza. I went back to watching TV while waiting for the pizza. I laid down on the couch and answered some emails and texts. I saw that Sarah had texted me all day. I rolled my eyes at them.

    Sarah🤢🤮😷: Hey baby

    Sarah🤢🤮😷: Good morning my love

    Sarah🤢🤮😷: Don't ignore me, babe

    Sarah🤢🤮😷: You're hurting my feelings

Sarah🤢🤮😷: I can't wait till you get back

    Sarah🤢🤮😷: My mouth misses you.

"Don't make me gag" I feel my face distort. I mean the girl even sent me a picture. I'm not going to lie and say that Sarah is a beautiful girl and all that, but her personality was ugly, therefore making her ugly. The girl was spoiled, lazy, and selfish, with a very generous helping of desperate on the side. I decided to text her and tell her that I have found someone.

Me: Sarah stop texting me. I do not want to be with you and I have someone to be my wife

And with that final message I blocked her. However, I knew that I would be hearing from her soon. And I knew that my mother would not be happy about me telling Sarah to leave me alone. Hopefully, the fact that she has a grandchild and a future daughter-in-law will distract her from the drama I know for a fact that Sarah was bound to bring. I was brought out of my thoughts when there was a ding that signaled that the food was here. The guy walked in and looked at me for an order.

"Just put it on the counter," I told him as I got up to give him his tip.

I handed him a hundred-dollar bill and his eyes widened. "Thanks, sir." He smiled

"You're a welcome kid. Have a nice night." I said

"You too." He said walking back into the elevator.

I went into the bedroom to tell Tia and Aiden that the food was there. "The food is on the counter," I told her before walking out. She came out moments later with Aiden by her side. She made both of their plates silently, not once looking my way. She sat them both down at the table and started eating. I made my plate and sat down with them.

"I see you got our whole apartment." She said referring to the bags that were by the bedroom door.

"Yeah, I did. Let me know if I'm missing anything."

"Sure."

"Are we staying with you now Jay?" Aiden asked.

I looked at Tia before looking back at him. "Yeah, kid." I smiled at him

"Cool." He said before going back to eating his pizza.

"Are you going to church with us tomorrow?" Tia asked

"Sure," I said. "We don't have to go at 10:30 anymore do we?" I asked

"Nah." She laughed. "I haven't gone to sabbath school since I moved out of Granny's."

"Okay."

We all went back to eating our food. Once we were finished I showed Aiden the other room that he could sleep in. He said that he liked the room and thanked me again for the food. I smiled and helped him get ready for bed, which was just making sure he took a bath and picking out his pajamas for him. I tucked him in and walked back into the kitchen where Tia was putting the food away.

"Hey," I said, letting her know that I had entered the room.

"Hey." She said, looking over her shoulder at me.

"Look Tia I'm-"

"Sorry." She finished for me.

"Yeah," I answered, holding my head down in shame.

"If you ever put your hands on me like that again, I'm getting TayTay to shoot yo ass, Jason." She threatened.

"So does this mean I'm forgiven," I asked hopefully

"It means that I'm not as mad." She corrected

"Okay, I can deal with that," I said

"Does this mean that I have to marry you to keep my son?" She asked

"The deal still stands," I said firmly

"Oh." She answered closing the fridge

"Look Bambina, I have my reasons" I tried to reason

"And what of those reasons?" She asked with her arms crossed over her chest

'I wish she would stop doing that. It's distracting me.' I thought

"You told me I have a week, remember." I reminded her of the deal we made last night

"Fine, don't tell." She said in an attitude

I smirked and walked to her. I took both her hands in mine and kissed them one at a time. "Let's go to bed. I'm tired." I said softly.

"Me too." That was all she said before walking around me and into the bedroom

'Everything is going to be okay'
