Glaringly obvious|Chapter 10

"Alright. Alright! Don't need to hit me. Gosh! How are you always hiting people!" Aj exclaims jumping up in his chair, his one hand soothing his other as soon as Jennifer had hit him. He looks at her with wide eyes as he exaggeratedly rubs his own arms, his expressions funny and all the more dramatic making everyone present in the living room chuckle at his antics.

"Shut up Aj" Jennifer scoffs, rolls her eyes as she concentrates on her hot cup of coffee,wrapping it in her palms enjoying the warmth that spreads through the cup to her fingers, although there is a smile playing on his lips at his reaction.

"No seriously, I don't know how Harshad used to be okay with that" Aj exclaims, now only teasing her as he motions to his fake bruised arm.

Everyone chuckles at his comments and Jennifer only giggles as she raises her eyebrows, pointing out the fact, coming back at him "Well he had more muscles than you"

"Lies"he mutters, stilling a sip of his own mug as he looks at everyone, raising his chin high up and nodding at everyone encouraging them to take his side as he justifies his reason "And anyways, all I was doing was planning about tonight"

Jennifer sips her coffee, rolling her eyes at her friend's antics. Aj had been the party animal between all of them and Jennifer very well understands the enthusiasm of tonight, that he is trying hard to suppress. It is actually wonderful to be with him, he is always in high spirits something Jenny only wishes to learn.

And she should, she thinks be of high spirits, as lately she feels she is becoming too boring, to plain with no shades at all. Thinks being with Aj for sometime will fill the missing colors in her life, will make her spirits soar as he has always been the life of the party, a person who turns around everyone's morning blues, like he is doing right now. And Jennifer admires that about her friend.

Nonetheless, she thinks having such conversations in the morning are not appropriate and scolds him, although she doesn't really mind because it's Aj and he is the child of the group and try as hard as she can he is not going to change at all. But it doesn't stop her to tease him, have a little fight with him "All I am saying is that don't go screaming vodka at 8 in the morning. We have to do all the arrangements first"

Everyone laughs at that and Aj is quick, words on the tip of his tongue as he gets back "I thought you were an actor not a crew setting up your set"

"That was an epic comeback Aj, congratulations on your horrible try" Jennifer gives a sarcastic laugh, clapping her hands as she taunts him and others are laughing at their antics as they devour the breakfast set on the dining table.

They both are making weird faces at each other, now their expressions battling it out after their fair share of words that Naihal comes out of the kitchen with a tray tapping Jennifer's shoulder handing it to her, as she gestures towards the others on the couch and in the other side of the  living room "Jen, serve the remaining once please"

"Sure"she gets up quickly finishing her cup taking the tray from Naihal and moves towards the couch, passing from behind Aj and she shows the tray to him as she says "See, people are working here, not planning to drink and fucked up later tonight so bloody early in the morning"

"Look who is talking. We all know you are the one high on that cloud" Aj calls out behind her as Naihal takes a sit in the chair Jennifer left moments ago and scolds them both "Stop it, you tom and Jerry. Gosh, even Sehzad and Anchal didn't use to go at it so much"

"Hey!" a loud chorus voice comes from the pair sitting at the dining table and everyone laughs at that.

A wide smile is on her lips at her friend's antics as she moves to her other friend who is lying on the couch, a book in her hand as she is deep into it. She calls out with the tray infront of her "Payal! Do you want some tea?"
