Chapter 41

P.O.V Cortnee

Did I just hear him right? Everything was blurry. “Cortnee,” he was chewing on his bottom lip. “Did I hear you right?” my voice cracked. He nodded his head. “Are you sure you want to?” a smile crawled on my face. “Yes, of course” the box was in his hand. Liam stood up and pulled me up with him. His lips softly touched mine; he took my left hand and slid the big ring on my finger. Tears rolled down my face. “I love you” he said.

We sat down and stared into each other’s eyes. I still had tears in my eyes. “Is this real?” I finally said. He chuckled “Yes,” he stood up. “Why don’t we get in comfy clothes and watch a movie” he said. “Okay” I got up from the chair and walked to his room and he followed close. I opened up the suitcases and pulled out yoga pants and a tank top. I felt weird to change in front of him, so I went down the bathroom.

I looked down at my hand. The ring sparkled in the light.  I smiled at it. “Can’t believe it” I giggled to myself. “Baby,” Liam said. “Yes, one minute please” I took my clothes off and the door opened. “Oh, I thought you were dressed.” He said. “You are taking forever” he walked close to me.  I put the shirt over my head. “Sorry babe” my face was red. He helped my put my pants on. “Thanks.” I giggled. “Now let’s go” he took my hand and walked slowly down to his room.

The TV was on and toy story was on the screen. I started to giggled. I got on my side of the bed, it was so late now. I let out a yawn. Liam pulled up the blankets over us. I scooted as close as I could. “Can’t believe I will be Mrs. Payne” I smiled at him. “I can’t wait” his lips softly touched mine. I put one of my hands on his chest. He started to deepen the kiss.

(Unthinkable happened. What they needed to celebrate the engagement ;) )

“WAKE UP LOVE BIRDS!” the bed shook, when I opened my eyes 4 boys were jumping on the bed. “Noo,” I whine. “Boys, be careful” Liam groaned and his grip tighten. “Sorry,” Niall said. “Breakfast,” I said and sat up. “Let’s go” I said and giggled. I crawl out and ran down the hall. Luckily last night I got cold and I put my cloths back on.

Niall and Louis followed. “What’s that?” Louis asked. “What’s what?” I was confused. It was too early. “On your finger” Niall added. “Nothing,” I hid my smile. I got out pans and the pancake mix. “Chocolate chips” Louis got it from the cabinet. “Cortnee,” Louis grabbed my hand. “He actually did it” Niall said, he didn’t have a smile on his face. “Niall?” Louis nudges him “Congrats.” Louis pulled me into his chest. I laughed.

I heard the laughter of the other three coming down the hall. “Hey beautiful” Liam said. “Hi,” I smiled at him. “You go relax, the boys and I with make the pancakes” he kissed my nose. “No its fine” I giggled. “Yes, Zayn why don’t you two go chill in there” Liam said. Zayn took my left hand; I think on purpose and walked me out.

“Hi, Mrs. Payne” he chuckled as we sat on the sofa. “Did you all know?” I asked; remembering out Niall reacted. “We talked about it yesterday when you were taking a nap.” He told me. “How come Niall is acting weird then?” I asked him “I have no idea” I patted my knee. “Don’t worry about him. You love Liam, right?” he asked. “Of course” I smiled looking down at my hand. “That’s all that matter” he chuckled.

He flicked though the channels. “I’ll be right back.” I walked down the hall to Liam’s room. I sat down on his bed and looked down at the huge ring. It fit perfectly but it was huge. I smiled. I will be marrying the guy I dreamt of. I sigh. “Baby,” Liam’s voice came through the door. I looked over at him smiling at me. “Pancakes are done” he told me. “Okay,” I stood up and walked over to him. He put his hands on my hips. “You’re so beautiful” he kisses my lips. “So aren’t you” I winked and we both laughed.
