Chapter 39

P.O.V Liam

Louis raced down the streets to get to the hospital. “Liam, you need to stay calm.” Niall’s hand went on my shoulder. “I should have gone in the room with her” I sighed. “Liam, stop!” Harry shouted. Louis stops at the front of the hospital. I rushed out and saw her brother. He was my height with brown hair and hazel eyes. His eyes were watery. “What happened” I rushed up to him. “She is in a coma” his voice cracked. “What about the baby?” I gulped. “We don’t know” I looked around lobby to see his girlfriend and their two kids sleeping.

“Can we see her?” I asked. He shook his head. “I haven’t been able to go in.” he wipes his face. Tears streamed down my face. “Fuck” I cussed and walked away. The rest of the boys walked in and talk her brother; I sat alone with my head in my hands. I felt a hand touch me and I looked up. Her nephew. “Hey,” he smiled. “Hi, buddy” I sat up a bit and he sat next to me. “Auntie is strong” he said to me. “Mommy said she is stronger than anyone she knew” he added. “You must have your aunt’s strength. You are stronger than me” I smiled small with tears in my eyes.

“She’s my best friend. She can’t leave” he had a huge smile. “She loves you” he told me. “I love her” I told him. “What about the baby?” he asked while patting his tummy. “I love him or her too” I smiled. “Will the baby be okay?” he asked. “I hope” I let out a sigh. “Cody” his mum called him from the hall. “I got to go.” He got up and ran off.

Niall came and sat next to me. “It was drunk driver, but also she slid on ice.” He told me. “I need to see her.” I said. “Liam just relaxed.” My phone went off. I answered it quickly. “Hello?” I answered. “Is Cortnee sleeping?” it was Luke. “Why does that matter to you!” I yelled. Niall took the phone. “Hey it’s Niall.” He said. “Well, yeah.” He sniffled. “She is in a coma” tears went down his face. “Drunk driver” he couldn’t stop crying. I didn’t stop. “He is a mess” he looked over at me.

“We will talk later” he hung up the phone. “You know that Cortnee wouldn’t sleep with someone else.” He said to me. “You know that baby is yours” he yelled in my face.

It was morning; we have been here since 2 in the morning and haven’t been able to see her. I got up and asked over 100 times to see her. They said no, I couldn’t. I haven’t stopped crying. I haven’t slept. I see the boys sleeping on the floor of the waiting room. Savannah took the kids home.

I sat on my phone looking our pictures. “CJ” a female voice said. “Um he went outside” he really did, for a smoke. “Okay” she went out the door to get him. I woke up each other boys.

“Liam,” CJ’s voice called out for me. I walked over to him. “You want to come?” he asked. I nodded my head. We followed the nurse down the hall. We entered a lift and went up 2 floors. She is going to hate leaving the hospital. I took a deep breath down another long hall. When we got to the room, I felt like crying again. The door opened by the nurse inside. CJ walked in first and I followed.

She was laying there sleeping. “The doctor will be in to talk to about her” the nurse left us three alone. CJ went to the side, and grabbed her hand. “Sis, you need to wake up.” A tear drop dropped on her hand. “We all need you here” he added. “Cody needs his best friend” her brother rubbed a thumb on her cheek. “You never deserves the things you got.” He kissed her forehead and walked away. I didn’t know what to say to her, tears wouldn’t stop.

“I’m sorry that I didn’t go to bed with you” I cried. “I should of, you wouldn’t of left” I put the blame on me. “When you wake up, you will never be alone” I sniffled. “We will make everything work. I will make sure you are happy.” I wiped my face. “I’ll be your pest and annoy you all the time” I cried and chuckled. “I won’t lose you again” I kissed her cheek and sat in the seat next to her.
