"Oh my god!" Harriet rushed forward and hugged him and Felix. "What the hell are you two doing here?"

She released them and Sonya went forward to hug them as well, a relieved expression on her face.

"You're lucky we didn't shoot your dumb asses!" She said. "Are you two alright?" She asked, holding them at arm's length.

"Yeah," Aris breathed. He turned to meet our confused gazes, grinning in a sort of ecstatic daze. "Guys, this are my friends, Harriet and Sonya. They were in the same Maze as Felix and I were in. Harriet, Sonya, these are the people from the other Maze. They're from Group A. They helped me and Felix escape WICKED."

"Thank you," Sonya said, turning to us with a smile.

"You should thank Aris and Felix, actually," I said, returning her smile nervously. I remembered her from before the Maze, and the fact that she didn't recognized me was a little heartbreaking, but I did well to mask my pain. "They were the one who helped us escape WICKED. Anyway, I'm Rose. This is Newt, Minho, Frypan, Teresa, Jorge, Brenda and Thomas."

"Nice to meet you guys," Sonya said politely with a slight nod of her head.

"Sorry about the fuss just now," Harriet said. "We had to make sure you weren't dangerous trespassers. I'm sure you understand, what with WICKED hunting us down every single second of the day and whatnot."

"Oh, we understand that, alright," Frypan muttered under his breath. "But was the shooting really neccessary?"

Harriet smiled without much humour. "Yes, it was. Our security is really important to our operations."

"Operations?" Thomas echoed.

Harriet stepped forward and put her fingers to her mouth; she blew and a loud, piercing whistle cut through the air.

"We're clear, guys, come on out!" She shouted.

We glanced around up at the mountain ranges. A few figures appeared into view, their figures silhouetted against the bright sunlight overhead, and they yelled back something. Harriet watched them, motioning them to come down. Sonya turned to us and said, "We're going to take you guys to our base now. Come along."

She and Harriet led us further into the mountains, walking under a rock archway, their guns slung over their backs. Several beat-up trucks were parked at the end with people standing beside them, apparently waiting for orders.

"Pack it up, Joe!" Sonya called out to a man up front.

"Wait, so... how did you guys get here anyway?" Felix asked Harriet.

"The Right Arm got us out," she answered.

"Wait, wait-" Thomas pushed his way forward and Harriet towards him with a questioning gaze. "You know where The Right Arm is?"

Harriet opened the truck door behind her and smiled at him dryly. "I sure do. Hop in."

It took us a few hours to reach the base. Since there were ten of us, we split up into two groups and got into two separate trucks. Harriet and Sonya drove us down the mountain and through a desert plain, the other trucks following behind closely. It was late noon, so the weather was as stiflingly hot as usual - but the wind blowing through us provided a mercifully cool breeze.
