I drink
water is unbeknownst
to me,
but delightfulI am everything,
the beginning,
the blossoming,
the wiltingI laugh,
bubbles arising
into the sunlightI cry,
stars weeping
in the glow
of the moonI speak,
words that are
foreign, tasteless
in my own mouth
on my own tongue
and language is gone,
irrelevant.I listen,
the echos of yesterday
ring in my head.I crash,
into the sea
Foams surround
My skinI float,
just barely enough
to breathI sink,
breathing in
the thick water.I submerge,
slowly
becoming one
with the currentsI am nothing,
taken by
what had given me life
and suddenly
silence is deafening.Written: 10/17/18
