CHAPTER 10: Why Don't You?

"That's incredible, Marcus!" I said. "I like hardworking people."

"What about you?"

"I am the second owner to the Frederick Empire." I said, pride in my tone of voice. "However, like my older brother, I had to start from the beginning." I look at Marcus as he writes important notes on the paper, then I saw a tattoo on his neck, "I really like your fairy tattoo, it is very pretty." I compliment him.

"Thank you." There was a difference in his tone, it felt like it went from cheerful to cautious.

I shrug, it's nothing.

About 10 minutes later, Doctor Susan is in the room to start the full neurological observation. She started with asking me question like, 'Where am I?', then looking at my pupils.

It was a very long.

"Tia, I read through Marcus's observation in the file, I am happy." Doctor Susan said, "I am going to write discharge instructions on your chart. I am not going to prescribe medication but, please don't overexert yourself." Doctor Susan gave Marcus the file, "Good bye Miss Frederick, Mr Alessandro."

"Will Mr Alessandro be taking you home?" First I look at Andre, then I look back at Marcus, and I nod my head. "That's perfect." My eyebrows knit together in confusion, because ihis tone changes. I listen to Marcus as he went over my discharge instructions with me. "Do you have a question?"

"No, I don't, thank you."

"I will book an appointment for you to visit Doctor Susan in a week." Marcus said, "I'll be back."

Once he leaves the room, I held Andre's hand. I finally had the chance to talk to him about my dream. "I dreamt about the morning I met you." I whisper.

I felt Andre's body freeze, "The morning you were meant to meet Mr Harris?"

"Yes." I said, "However he didn't come."

Andre sat down on the black chair next to the bed, "I didn't ask before but, why did Mr Harris want to meet you?"

"Truthfully speaking, it was about you." I said, "When Karl and I were walking, I saw you at cafe, Tea Time. I felt a wave of emotions, Andre. Anger, confusion. Therefore I had Mr Harris to investigate." I draw the white blanket closer to my body, "It wasn't the first time we met. A day after father's and mother's accident, Mr Harris and his partner came to talk to me about you. I spoke to him about our relationship, and your friendship."

I shook my head, 'I'm losing track.'

"Anyways, Mr Harris spoke about how he had really important information about the accident, and about you. But he didn't want to talk over the phone." I bit the inside of my cheek, before speaking again. "I have a question for you." When Andre doesn't answer me, I speak further, "Apart from Wu Chen, who was the two friends of yours?"

"When we started dating, I had people come to me, wanting to be my friend." Andre said, "I slowly began to lose myself, thus becoming someone I never thought I'd be. Then through Chen, I met two people who had power, control. For example, the leader's dad who was the boss of a gang called Yōsei." There was guilt in his eyes. I kiss Andre's hand reassuringly, and a smile fell onto his lips, "Well, the first person was Ian Pearce, and the second person – the leader of our group was –"

"Tia!" Taylor said, with tears in her eyes, as she ran towards the bed. Taylor brought me into a hug, "Are you okay?"

"Taylor, I'm okay." I giggle, "I'm a very strong woman." I look at the people behind her, "Lucas, Lachlan, Josh you're here!" Then I pout sadly, "Without presents."
