I smiled, noticing their giggling face. They're face screwed up as they howled with laughter at my stupidity. They let out a accidental snort. "Cute," I remarked.

I'd opened up my laptop to discover I'd been sent an email. Thinking I recognised the email, I clicked on the link, only to discover some, interesting photos. This had reduced Brooke to hysteria and me to a shocked silence. I shook my head their overreaction and gestured to her, demonstrating that I thought we should proceed with our task. "So, let's load up the game and get going. Have you checked the mic?" They looked at me in annoyance. Brooke's expression gave me my answer but they confirmed in their elaboration.

"Always." I rolled my eyes, and began recording.

"Hello, welcome to the next game in our adventure at BBGames with Blaise." I smiled ironically. "And Brooke." Brooke's lips turned up very slighy, forming a very soft, sweet smile. "and today we're playing the very highly requested game, Undertale. See, neither of us have, though its infamy proceeds itself, actually played it, so we're new to all this. As you can see from the video length this is going to be a long one, so...".

"Grabs some s'nacks, maybe a blanket, a hot drink,"

I interrupted Brooke with, "I think popcorn would be appropriate here. Actually I'll go make us some tea and popcorn. [Here Brooke remarked 'strange combo'] And ill be back." I ran out of the room to get what I needed and returned bearing gifts. "Right, let's go. Undertale." I loaded the screen to hear beautiful music erupting from my laptop's speakers. The starting screen appeared, and I found myself appreciating the graphics and exquisite artwork. The following text appeared, along with a yellowed piece of art depicting what appeared to be a goat and a human.

Long ago, two races ruled over Earth :
HUMANS and MONSTERS.

The next piece of art showed a towering goat holding a trident leading a variety of monsters and a brave human warrior carrying a sword to face their foe.

One day, war broke out between the two races.

Two humans stood triumphant on a hill, they'd beaten the monsters. A mysterious sadness overpowered me momentarily.

After a long battle, the humans were victorius.

They sealed the monsters underground with a magic spell.

The now familiar sense of sadness filled me, and I remained silent though new text appeared. Noticing my loss of focus, Brooke read the next text.

Many years later...

A tingling sense of excitement and elation filled me. The real start of the game.

A mountain was projected into my screen, along with the words;

Mt.    EBOTT
201X

A shot of a child racing towards a band, I assume one that leads inside the mountain.

Legends say that those who climb the mountain never return.

So there have been others, I wondered. Brook's jump made me realise I'd voiced this sentiment.

A branch and a foot entangled in it...

A child falling into an abyss...

Fallen face first on the surface of the seemingly endless pit...

An animation panning up to the top. It looks a remarkably long way. I find myself wondering if the child is okay, before i remember it is just a game.

The title screen.
