I never really thought Garfield and I had much in common. We were complete opposites in my mind. It's weird how things can change.

Beast Boy walked into the common room where the rest of us were. Cyborg and Robin were watching TV, Starfire was in the kitchen making some odd creation, and I, as usual, was reading a novel. He sat down, and I noticed that he had his headphones in. I had guessed he didn't want to annoy us with his boom box.

"Hey B, wanna play a video game?" Cyborg asked. He didn't answer. "Beast Boy! Earth to Beast Boy!" Cyborg began to wave his hand in front of Garfield's face.

"Huh? Sorry Cy, I couldn't hear you." He finally answered, removing his headphones.

"Wow, that music of your's must be pretty loud."

"Well, that's pretty much the only way you can listen to my music."

"What are you listening to?" Robin chipped in.

"Metal."

I raised my eyebrow.

"Metal?" I asked. The others also gave looks of confusion. I guess they didn't expect that response either.

"Yeah, it's my favorite. I know you guys usually hear me listen to hip hop and stuff, but that's only sometimes."

"Really?" I was still confused.

"Yes, really. What's so hard to believe?"

"You just don't seem like the type."

"Yes, I do agree." Starfire chimed in.

"What, just because I don't talk about it all the time, or wear all black, or the fact I'm not dark and gloomy?"

"Well no... well maybe..." Is all I could spit out.

"There's a lot you don't know about me, Raven." For some reason he said that to me... just me... the others were equally as shocked, but he directed that only to me.

He stood up and started to walk out of the room. I'm not sure why, but I put my book down and started to follow him. We were out in the hall just outside of the doors where the common room was. "Wait!" I yelled. "Maybe I'd like to."

"What?".

"Maybe I'd like to know more about you."

"Seriously?"

"Yes, seriously. I wouldn't have stopped reading and came out here if I didn't want to, and it's a really good book."

"Oh okay. Well, what do you want to know?"

Beast Boy and I spent hours in my room talking about different bands, favorite movies, our lives before the titans (I never knew he had such a dark past), some hobbies of our's we didn't know we shared, and many other topics. I learned a lot about him, and he learned a lot about me. That day really drew us closer to each other and I'm very thankful for that because-

"Are you ready to get dinner?"

"Yeah, sorry Gar. Lets go."
