Canysia's POV
"can we-wal-walk the rest? I'm dying" Yogi complained while gasping for air
"You wouldn't be dying if you went on those morning runs with me" I teased while jogging in place next to Yogi
"At 6am? I think the fuck not" Yogi respond while walking
"I could keep going but I'd rather not" Jay said also beginning to walk "you know I don't run"
"We're almost there, right?" Ariana asked following the other two as she walked
Alyssa nodded "Yeah just around this corner we parked in the alley"
"Kat you alright?" I asked Kat who had suddenly not only stopped running but stopped moving completely and was staring across the street. She didn't respond instead she grabbed a random teenage girl who was running past us and held her in front of herself like a shield.
"What the fuck are you do-" the girl was cut off when a bullet pierced her skull
"Everyone down!!"Kat yelled at us throwing the body to the side as she hid behind a mail box.
The rest of us ducked behind a car, as more bullets whizzed past, just barely grazing Alyssa arm.
She groaned in pain and checked her arm "fuck" she held the bleeding wound tightly
"Kat?!" I yelled anxiously
"It's a Barrett M82, can't be more than about 2,000 yards from us. Military issue, it's really a great gun about nine-thousand dolla-"
"Kat!" We all yelled at her, gain her attention back
"Sorry" she apologized
"Just fucking tell me this, is it coming from the ground or up high?" Jay wondered
Kat thought for a moment, watching the bullets pass before speaking.
"The bullets are coming at an angle so up high" she answered "But not to high, Like a tree kind of high- Oak not palm!! we can-"
Jay stood and started shooting at a tree across the street "Fuck yooooouuu!!" Jay yelled
"Shoot like a phsycopath" Kat finished her sentence sarcastically with a sigh
"Get to the car, go hurry!!" I screamed
We all began running toward the alleyway, jumping into the car.
"Let's park over here it's way safer" Kat mocked as she sat in the back of the van
"Eat my ass" Alyssa said as she started the car "everybody in?"
I look around doing a mental check list "Yeah" I answered
"Hang on to something" Alyssa put the car in reverse to back out of the alley, then she turned the wheel to the left, put it in drive and hit the gas.
"Ariana, Kat open the right door lay down cover" I ordered
"you got it" Ariana nodded
"Alyssa don't slow down"
"Of course"
"Yogi, Cobi" I said to the two who were waiting for orders "You know what to do"
"Yay" Cobi smiled "we get the fun job" she booped Yogi's nose
Yogi rolled her eyes and slid open the left door, she tighten her grip on the handle, that was attached to the roof of the car, with her right hand than looked at Cobi.
