Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III is many things, but not a dragon killer.

On his first six months living with his mortal parents, it has been an eventful nights. Mostly hearing Hiccup crying due to hungry or his diapers being full or occasionally having tummy aches. But none of those reasons were the explanation of little Hiccup's sadness. Despite being reborn and living with his now mortal parents, he was still a royal blood, son of Loki and Sigyn.

Sadly, after Vali, now known as Hiccup, was sent to Midgard in hope of being safe from Frost Giants, Loki sent all dragons to watch over his son. Sigyn, Hiccup's biological mother died after fighting Laufey by herself. Which led to Loki going madness and seeking revenge, eventually forgetting that he still had a son on Midgard. Loki cause great chaos to his kingdom.

As days passed, Hiccup grew different unlike any typical Vikings. But before he could turn one years old, dragon starts to raid the village of Berk. It was planned, knowing that their small god is living with those savage Vikings, they plan to see him and in order to do that, they will raid the village but half of it was being ordered by an evil tyranny who bowed to no one. Even to the god of dragons. That night was the night Valka was taken away from her family. A dragon with four wings, cream colored scales, majestic horns that rest on its head and an owl-like face, entered the Haddock halls without anyone's knowledge, except for Valka who remembered she left her son inside alone.

"Hiccup!" Valka panicked, running inside their house.

But then, Valka saw the impossible. The huge dragon was carefully playing with her son, who grabbed the dragon's claw and played with it. If only Valka could hold her breathe for a second, then the dragon wouldn't notice her and it wouldn't be give Hiccup a small scar under his chin. But air is important, and the dragon finally noticed her standing. And it notice the female Viking hesitating, that was until a flying axe almost hit the two of them. They turned and Stoick arrived.

"Hold on, Valka!" Stoick jumped through the fire and took his son out of his crib. But when Stock turned around--

"No! Stoick!" Stoick saw his wife being carried away by the claws of their mortal enemy.

"Valka!"

"Stoick!"

And just like that, she's gone. All dragons saw this and left after the owl-like dragon, who stole Valka flew away and never to be seen again.

Despite being reborn and not one memory of his biological parents has entered his mind, Hiccup survive the life of being half mortal without a mother.

Everyone felt sympathy towards their Chief who lost a wife. Even when Hiccup is still a wee baby, too young to understand the world, other Vikings couldn't help but feel hatred towards the young heir upon losing their chieftess. Stoick tried everything to take care of his son, the only remnant of his wife but everyday and everytime he watches the child, he couldn't help but feel a pang of anger, hatred, sadness, happiness, and guilt. No matter where he look, Hiccup reminds Stoick of Valka. A bit painful but Stoick endured it and gave all the love he can to Hiccup. Sadly, the child didn't feel the love.

When Hiccup turned two years old, not an average age for a child to start talking, he eventually learns to talk by himself without assistance. Stock concludes that Hiccup indeed is different from any of them but he hope that his son's indifference would disappear soon and starts to act like any typical Vikings. But that hope soon deflates when Hiccup turned five. The child grew up being sarcastic and curious-- where to almost irritates every adults except Gothi, when he would asked questions per questions. He also grew independent, knowing that his father is busy, he have to eventually take care of himself.
