Balfour declaration, 1917

In November of 1917 the foreign secretary officer (Arthur James Baflour) sent a letter to Britain's wealthiest and most influential Jew (Walter Rothschild) expressing his and the British governments support for a Jewish homeland in Palestine. The Balfour declaration then entrusted the UK, specifically Britain, in mandating Palestine.
