Liam's POV.

Kathie and I got in the pyramid really quickly. She was't looking at me, she wasn't talking at all. It was really unlike her. She was the one who always talked. But now, she didn't do anything. It's like she didn't give a fuck.

After a while, I heard her voice but again she wasn't looking at me. Her voice was so harsh, so low. Was she afraid? No. Afraid of what? She wasn't afraid. She asked me something but I didn't answer as I didn't even hear the question. All I was thinking about was why Kathie was acting like that.

We kept on walking. The antechamber of the pyramid was so long that we spent half an hour on only walking to get to the main room of the pyramid.

On the walls, there were frescoes. There was something written on each and every wall. Kathie tapped me on my arm and I saw her pointing at a big door. She started walking closer and I followed her.

I watched carefully that door. There was something written on it. It was written in hieroglyphs. I could read it. You know, hundred of years being 'alive' helped me learn a lot of things and travel everywhere.

"How the hell does this stupid thing open?"  I saw Kathie trying to open the door. She was cute when she was angry or focused on something or when she was thinking or..ugh who was I kidding? She was always perfect. To me.

"Don't touch anything. It says that this door doesn't simply open. Not just by turning the doorknob. We have to find another entry." I could see she was getting angry with me. No. She was getting even angrier with me.

"So now you can read hieroglyphs?"  Okay. Now she was tottaly pissed off.

"I wasn't born a few years ago, you know. There's a lot you don't know about me."  I said. She looked at me for the first time that day. Her eyes were so different. I could tell she was emotionally exhausted.

"And I'm not that excited to find out either."  She fired back.  She turned her face away from mine as soon as her eyes met mine. I couldn't get why she was avoiding eye contact with me. She backed away from me. I saw her eyeing a lever.

I thought she was going to do something stupid and lock us in there, so I followed her.

"What do you think you're doing?"  I asked softly. I tried to act nice. It was the first time I was like this. I used to be really ignorant. I didn't give a fuck for anybody. Apart from her. I was down on my knees when it came to her.

She looked me in the eyes. She was fed up. She was like a grenade. She could explode anytime, destroying everything in the blink of an eye.

"I'm finding a solution."  She said before grabbing the lever and pulling it up.

The wall behind us was pushed backwards. A path was in our view. I wasn't sure if that was a good idea. Kathie didn't give it a second thought, though. She started walking and I followed her as I always did.

As we were walking, we heard the wall closing. Everything was drown in the pitch black darkness.

"Next time, don't you dare to do something I don't approve of."  I surprised her with the tone of my voice. She couldn't walk around doing risky things without even thinking of the consequences.

"I know you married me to save me and I'm grateful for that. Believe me, I am. I know you are responsible for whatever I do but you don't have the right to think that I am some kind of your property. I don't belong to you, Liam."  Her pleading eyes made me regret for my earlier outburst. Her voice was raising. She was upset.
