Six weeks since I've been away,

Ashton's POV
It's been six weeks since I left Calum to go on tour. Being away from him is hard but we call and skype each other as much as we can. But lately it's been harder for Calum or so he says. In our previous phone call, he told me that it is different this time, everything has changed with me being on tour for a longer time period. He also told me that he doesn't know if he can handle being away from me so long and then he hung up telling me he had to go. And that worried me, was I gonna lose him?
Late night calls and another text,
Is this as good as we're gonna get?

It's late at night when Ashton receives a text from Calum saying, I miss you and I can't sleep. As soon as finished reading he dialed the familiar phone number.
"Ash?" he barely heard.
"Yeah, baby it's me." Ashton replied.
"I miss you so much." he heard Calum's voice crack. He took that as a sign that Calum wanted to cry.
"I miss you too. Please don't cry, just remember I'll be home soon." Ashton said, his voice wavering.
"OK... Can you sing me something?" Calum whispered.
Ashton smiled slightly, "Of course babe."
"He sleeps alone, my heart wants to come home. I wish I was, I wish I was, beside you..."

It's was after Ashton came back to the dressing room after the show, he saw that he had a couple missed calls from Calum. He must have called when I was on stage, Ashton thought.
Ashton called Calum back for him to answer on the third ring.
"Ash!"
"Hi baby, sorry I didn't get your call earlier we were on stage. What's up?" Ashton said sitting down on the couch.
"Sorry Ash, but I can't really talk now. Can I call you back later or will you be busy?" Calum rushed out, Ashton could here Calum's name being called by someone.
"It's okay, I might be busy but I'll wait up for you to call if I have" Ashton replied.
"Thanks babe, love you" he said hanging up before Ashton could even reply.
