(Odena x Todd)

It only took a few, simple rules to be a part of the Todd Squad.

1.  Have something odd about you

2.  Never question the boss

3.  Always do, or report odd

4.  Destroy all gadgets

Odena found herself sighing softly, as she got ready for another long day at work. She brushed her dark hair, so that she could pin it back to the side, and then she adjusted her glasses. Out of a bad habit, she nervously tugged on her earlobe. Used to nothing would happen, but now there was a bright, florescent, green glow, courtesy of her boss, Odd Todd. There was something about her commander that was eerie and dark, yet she couldn't help but catch glimpses of a more vulnerable side. The day they had contained Olive for awhile, she had learned that Todd seemed to be normal at first, he just had a knack for solving lots of cases in a really short amount of time. Odena learned that he had also treated Olive wrong, and the brutal act of his pie attack had scarred the girl for life. Usually things were always the same at the squad, filled with oddities, such as disgusting, hot garbage that was used instead of a swimming pool, but then there came an instance where their hold world was shaken. Three people that claimed to be Odd Squad agents had come in, and the rumor was they were trying to steal Todd's first gadget. Earlier, Odena had looked up at Todd as she yanked the cord on his ankle that started up his super suit, just wishing that he might see her more than just a worker. It was as though no one had feelings in his point of view. She had witnessed how he snapped at everyone, not to mention his evil demeanor towards Oprah. She couldn't help but stand next to him as they waited for the trio of agents to fall into their trap, located at the Museum of Modern Odd.

"Boss, are you sure this is such a good idea?" Her meek voice carried across the silent room.

"What are you talking about, Odena?" Todd instantly closed his eyes, frustration evident in his voice.

"What if we just let them go? They only want to get back to their time."

"Don't you see? In their time, I am not in charge! In their time, I've heard that it's Oprah that's the one that runs the Odd Squads." He shuddered at the mention of the old name for the establishment.

"Yes, but would that be so bad? We could all have our problems fixed. Like my earlobe." She tugged on her ear to prove her point.

"Turn that off, Odena," Todd snapped.

"Sorry," she quietly apologized.

"Look, if all you're going to do is get in the way, and take their side, then maybe you shouldn't be on the Todd Squad. Maybe you should go with them back to their time, or better yet, just leave!"

Just then there was the sound of a door closing in the distance.

"Someone's coming," Todd spoke under his breath. "You better get out of here, before my whole plan is ruined."

"Fine. I don't even know why I ever called you my boss, or thought it was so great to work alongside you. All you are is a mean person. All the oddness in the world can't cover that up." She felt powerful as she finally stood up for herself, boldly walking out of there.

Todd only mulled over her words temporarily before stepping behind a gold podium, his face painted in the same color, making him appear to be a statue just like the rest.

Long story short, the agents ended up outsmarting him, and soon the three were traveling back to the correct time they were originally in.

As Ms O's 100 years of service party commenced, it consisted of a changed, good Todd, that no longer did odd for a living, and also a girl with beautiful, raven black hair hanging on the sidelines. Soon everyone was milling about as they picked up miniature juice boxes.

"Sorry," said the girl as she bumped into a taller boy.

"Don't worry, I've got this," he claimed, holding up his hand, revealing the juice box she had dropped.

"Thanks," she smiled weakly as she took the container. "I'm Odena."

"Nice to meet you, Odena. I'm Todd, but I'm guessing by the look on your face, you knew that already."

"Yeah," she agreed, nodding her head some.

"So, when did you join the squad," he wondered, sipping on a straw to his cranberry flavor.

"Didn't anyone save me a cranberry," shouted Ms. O over the casual chatter.

"Uh Oh. I gotta run," Todd expressed before speed walking towards the Hall of Doors.

"Wait," Odena called, both of them facing one another after stopping in the zig-zagging hallway.

"What is it," sighed Todd slightly, leaning his head back a little in annoyance.

"I feel like I've known you from somewhere before," she explained.

"Look. A lot of people know me. I was once a villain. It kind of comes with the territory. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a juice box to hide." Before he could take very many steps, Odena was stopping him again.

"Wait! I know where you can put that."

"Really? Where," asked Todd, not seeming convinced.

"Here, I'll show you," she assured him, leading the way.

Eventually they halted in front of a plain door.

"I thought it would be fancier than this," Todd thought out loud. "What is this room anyway? I don't recall it from when I was here."

"It's where all the empty juice boxes go. It's called the Recycled Juice Boxes Room."

"You dedicated a whole room to used juice boxes?"

"Don't you know, Ms. O," Odena questioned.

"Good point," he caved. "So, do I just put it anywhere?" He was checking out the mountains of piles surrounding them.

"Um, they just started this pile, so you can put it here," she answered, standing next to the short stack.

Todd carelessly tossed his empty carton there, just as Odena went to face the door.

"Don't you want to stay awhile," Todd asked.

"Why?" Odena was puzzled on what he meant.

"So, we can do this," he clarified, jumping into a pile nearby. "Not going to lie, that kind of hurt, but it was also fun." He began laughing slightly, the signature cackle just below the surface.

"These are Ms. O's juice boxes! She won't be happy if they're all unorganized," Odena pointed out.

"Then we'll fix them once we're done. Lighten up, Odena, seriously."

She nervously tugged on her earlobe as she hesitantly dragged out, "I don't know..."

Just then Todd grabbed her arm and she tumbled into one of the piles. Soon they had crashed so many structures, and they were practically swimming in juice boxes. Odena couldn't believe how this recklessness had become fun, and for the first time in a long time, she laughed genuine, deep belly laughs, her sides aching. Todd looked over at her after they had done most of the possible damage, and she continued smiling as his beautiful, blue eyes locked on hers.

"I've had a great time today, Todd."

He shook his head a little to snap out of his daze. "Yeah, it's been fun."

Before their special moment could be shared further, the door was opened.

"What happened in here?!" Oona was in dismay at the horrible mess. "Ms. O will not be happy when she finds out all of her juice boxes are unorganized."

"Relax, Oona, we've got this," Todd claimed.

Odena looked over at him before he followed her actions. Unknowingly she was with a person she had always known, but this time instead of him causing her constant pain, it was replaced with happiness.

A/N: Hey guys, this was just a ship I wanted to write for fun. I had thought about Todd and Odena being together off and on before, but it wasn't until now I felt like putting it into a story. I hope you enjoyed this. Please remember to comment, vote, and follow if you did. It always means so much. <3
