"Doc Bea?! The Chief is looking for you!!"

She rolled her eyes before answering the tensed intern behind her.

"Fine! I'm coming!"

"Sorry girls, my shift ends in four hours and I have been in surgery for the last 15 hours, masasabunutan ko na ang intern ko, she's literally not helping me today."

"Hey, ok lang. Jia and I are planning on shopping naman, pag uwi mo ng flat mo,  andun na rin kami."

"Sorry talaga, pero off ko naman bukas, and the day after that, I am only on call at night, so I'll have time for both of you."

She said apologetically, I grabbed her hands and squeeze it.

"Bei, ok lang. Doctor din ako, and I know how hard it is. So go na, ok lang kami ni Therese. Bawi ka nalang bukas."

"Doc Bea? The Chief has---"

"Oh shut up Stephanie!! Or you'll never step on my OR for a month!!"

The poor girl just lowered her head and  look the other way, we kissed our goodbyes and watch her to the hospital entrance.

"I said I'm coming! Don't I?"

Napakibit nalang ang balikat namin ni Therese and walked towards Bea's Car.

Therese' POV:

"I'm dead tired, yung pagod ko mas matangkad pa sa akin."

"Halata nga Bei, but you look happy here."

Hindi siya nagsalita and just gave me a look that is asking for me to elaborate what I just said. Which Jia did.

"Kahit na kasi mas mahirap dito ang work, atleast hindi ka mukhang stress, hindi katulad nung nasa Philippines ka. Dito stress ka lang sa work, eh sa Pinas? Pati kay Thirdy stress ka."

"Correction, hindi ako stress sa work ko dito, pagod siguro oo, pero normal naman na mapagod ako, Im on my 1st year of Surgical Attending kaya sobra ang load ng surgeries ko, but I am happy, this is all I ever dreamed of. No one is ever tired on reaching her dreams, well not me."

She said without batting an eyelash and with a spark on her eyes, napangiti nalang kami ni Therese, we know and we can see how happy and contented she is now. 

"Pero walang comment about Thirdy?"

tinapunan ko ng masamang tingin si Therese, which she just shrug her shoulder off at uminom ng wine from her glass.

"Thirdy is just a thing in the past, he can't support my dreams then I can't stay."
