BA:  "And we are back in the show, also with us is the five time MVP, three time Champion and seven time Mythical five member, one of Gilas Pilipinas' pride, Our pride, Thirdy Ravena."

The cheering and applause from live audience is almost defeaning, he grinned and lowered his head, minsan hindi parin siya sanay na inilalatag sa harap niya lahat ng narating niya, he was never used to it. One thing is, he was never used sitting for an interview like this, ok lang sa kanya ang Sports Desk, The Score, and other sports oriented interviews. But Boy Abunda interviewing him is one thing. Hindi niya rin alam kung bakit pumayag ang handler niya to this one. And he is very shy to say no.

Thirdy: "Hello good evening, Good evening po Tito Boy."

BA: "Finally, ang tagal na naming gustong paupuin ka dito Thirdy, salamat at napaunlakan mo kami."

Thirdy: " Naku, salamat po. Plessure is mine Tito Boy, although I was questioning myself until now what am I doing here."

He said candidly that made everyone laugh.

BA: "I know, medyo bago nga siguro sayo. Baka isipin ng mgq fans mo na mag aartista kana at iiwan na ang basketball, hindi po, we just want him here and have an interview to one of the best baller our country have."

Thirdy: "Naku, baka tumaas kilay ng iba Tito Boy, madami pa naman pong mas magagaling sa akin, nakakahiya po."

BA: "The very reluctant super star, kaya napakaraming nagri request na mag guest ka dito eh, they wanted to more about you, more than the basketball player Thirdy."

He didn't know what to say, he just grinned and shake his head lightly.

BA: "Ok ok, nahihiya na po siya, nakakatuwa. But I guess we already set the mood. Lets start knowing the other side of Thirdy Ravena."

BA: "Kamusta?  Recently you are named as the best dressed pinoy male celebrity by Metro Magazine, kamusta?"

Thirdy: " Siyempre po flattered, its not everyday that people got to appreciate you, kaya sa Metro, maraming salamat, now I am pressured to always be in my best pair of shirt and jeans."

BA: "I am sure you have a very nice wardrobe, nasa UAAP ka palang we already know that (Laughter). Also, you are about to be recognized as Mr. Basketball by a specific sports media organization,  ang taning lang naman namin dito ay, sino ba ang date mo sa awards night?"

People started giggling and wide smile were plastered on their lips.

Thirdy: "Date? Well, andiyan naman si Mama o kaya si Dani. Pwede rin maki third wheel nalang ako kila Manong at sa sister-in-law ko, si Ate Alyssa, total naman tatanggap din sila ng award. I am totally fine being the third wheel."

BA: "So does this mean, you are not dating anyone now?"

Thirdy: "Wala po."

BA: "Why?  You are the Thirdy Ravena, parang hindi naman yata kami naniniwala na wala man lang idinidate, I mean look at you."

Napailing nalang ako sa sinabi ni Tito Boy, he is surely fishing.

Thirdy: "Siguro po, I am a living proof na kapag successful sa career, malas sa pag-ibig."

I said with a smile on my lips.

BA: "Total napunta narin naman na sa usapang pag-ibig, didiretsuhin na kita ha. Anong nangyari sa inyo ni Bea De Leon? I mean, we are curious, back in the days, you were beautiful, maski ako akala ko noon, hanggang dulo."

People started cheering again, some were also cheering "Thirbea"

Thirdy: "Naku, parang mas mahirap pa ito sa championship game ah."

I said while smiling, just to make things lighter, kasi ang dibdib ko biglang bumigat na.

BA: "C'mon Thirdy, take us there, kahit pahapyaw lang."

Hindi na ako nag isip at sumagot nalang.

Thirdy: "Yung mga followers namin noon pa alam naman na, she got a very rare scholarship abroad, and I can't be there, and she can't let it pass. Its her dreams there, my dreams, here. As for me, I worked really hard para sana I'll be able to provide for her in the future, para din mag stay nalang siya dito. Pero hindi eh, pangarap niya ang kalaban ko. Pero hindi ko naman siya sinisisi na umalis siya, kasi naisip ko din, whay if ako yung kailangang umalis para sa rare opportunity na ganun? Siguro I'll do the same. And look at her now, she is now a surgeon, a good one-base sa mga nababalitaan ko."

BA: "Its been seven years Thirdy, is it safe for us to assume that you are still waiting for her, kaya hindi ka nalilink kahit na kanino?"

Natawa ako sa sinabi ni Tito Boy, doon ko narin lang napansin na tahimik na ang mga tao sa studio, and it is as if they are holding their breaths at hinihintay ang isasagot ko.

Thirdy: "I cannot say that now, baka busy lang talaga ako ngayon sa career ko. Pero noon bago ma grant ang scholarship niya, I was actually planning a wedding proposal, nakabili na nga ako ng singsing actually. Kasi nga isang taon nalang ga graduate na siya sa med school. Kaso ayun nga, bigla naman dumating yung scholarship. Siguro lang, hindi ko pa kasi uli nararamdaman yung ganung pakiramdam noon, kaya wala pa uli. Pero ayaw ko din i-claim na siya parin, nakakhiya for all we know, she have someone na pala abroad."

BA: "Does she knew that you almost proposed to her? I mean bago siya umalis?"

Thirdy: "Hindi na po, I know Bea would have given up everything if I knelt and asked her for marriage back then. She loved me in ways that she almost neglect herself. I know that, I give that to her. Hindi naman porke siya ang umalis siya na ang bad guy sa story namin, no. She loved me the best way she can, I know that for sure. Kaya siguro, kahit alam ko noon na pwede ko siya pigilan, hindi narin lang."

BA: "I see, ngayon Thirdy. After everything that you have achieved, are you truly happy? Did you regret anything?"

Thirdy: "Yes, I am happy and no, wala po akong pinagsisisihan. Kasi kung hindi kami naghiwalay, baka hanggang ngayon, kontento lang ako na nasa PBA ako, I might not have achieved what I have achieved. At kung hindi siya umalis, I am not sure kung kaya ko ba na makita siya na habang buhay magtatanong kung what if umalis siya at kung ano na sana siya ngayon. Maybe we lost each other along the way, pero baka nga kasi hindi kami para sa isa't isa. Minsan hindi kasi sapat na mahal mo lang ang tao. People in love, should also learn that, self- fulfillment is very vital for individual growth. We should not hinder our partners achieving that, kasi what kind of love they can give us kung hindi sila masaya sa mga sarili nila. At the end magsa suffer lang ang relationship niyo."

BA: "I believed, that was your learning sa nangyari sa inyo ni Bea, tama ba?"

Thirdy: "Yeah, actually yan ang pinapaintindi niya sakin bago siya umalis, pero I was too blind to see. Para sa akin yun na ang dulo namin. Late ko na narealized na tama pala siya all along. Na kaya naman sana namin kung willing ako noon na mag meet halfway, I was stupid back then."

BA: "After all the learnings, sa tingin mo, she would appreciate kung babalik ka as the mature Thirdy now?"

Thirdy: "Ayaw ko magsalita ng tapos Tito Boy, but one thing I am certain is. Kapag siguro may dunating na mamahalin ko ng katulad ng kay Bea, or someone na mas mamahalin ko pa, is that I am more ready now, and I will try my very best not to make the same mistake again."
